Omega has levelled up - (lv 1)
Magic Pots

Ok I was just in the Pheonix Tower and I have a horror story to tell. I was on floor 10 and I entered the battle with the Magic Pot. Well one of my characters is a Berserker, the others are Samurai, Theif, and Summoner. So I give the lil grubby bastard an Elixir to shut him up and the mo fo wants more and more and more...you get the point.

Well my damn Berserker was going schizo and continually tried attacking the Pot, however missing on all attempts except...and believe it or not once to which he nailed the pot for over a grand damage.

Well basically I continued giving the lil bastard elixirs and the pot would not escape. I was like what the hell???

I am confused as to what happened here and am hopeful that someone can explain this to me.

See what I don't get is that I kept giving him them and he wouldn't escape, and I'm wondering if my Berserker continually trying to attack him even though missing each time is what prompted him to stick around. So I ended up killing my Berserker and then gave him 2 or 3 more and he still wouldn't escape, and at that point I thought about running but had over 1 million gil and so I thought I could just buy them back easily.

Well I bring the Berserker back to life thinking he'll just go away after a few more. He doesn't, so I kill my Berserker again and give him 1 or 2 more and he finally leaves.

16 muthaf*ckin Elixir's people.

What the hell just happened, does anyone know?

I would have guessed it was the berserker attacking him myself but if you killed him that doesn't make sense.

The only think I can think of is either your A) Your game just messed up which is incredibly odd or B) Maybe your like me and you click really fast and you were throwing somthing like etheres at him by mistake. Not saying you stupid but I use the wrong items all the time. Sometimes even on the wrong people.

But yeah I'm stumped.

Afaik, the amount of elixirs you have to give the mofo is random. I recall using around 10 elixirs once. Attacking with the berzerker does not affect this imo.

Ok well I didn't miss the item, because I reorganized all my items to be in the spots I want them and I'm sure that I didn't give him the wrong item, since I spent 800 grand buying more Elixir's in Mirage Village.

It happened again somewhat even without the Berserker, it took 10 more on a different one and the guide says it might take 1 to 4.

So the last fight I got in with one, I tested a strategy, however without any chance of multiple tests I can't prove this. But I found that if I attack with all my characters until I actually hit him, which took my 4th character in my 1st round of attacking to do, which was fairly quick. Then use the Elixir on him, he escaped immediately. I'm thinking because the game registered an actual effect from the Elixir, since it refilled his HP from what I damaged him.

I dunno if that is a trick to it or not, I'll need someone else to verify that for me since I don't have anymore Magic Pots to fight.
