Most useless class?

Actually, I never really used Berzerker, but almost every other class in there I have. I could see how he'd be useful, but I think his growth level is too slow to worry about using him. I always leveled up these classes the most:

Knight
Sorcerer
White Mage
Black Mage
Blue Mage
Red Mage
Geomancer
Summoner
Ninja
Thief
Dancer

I think like in any game the bards suck

My D&D Bard would like to make a suggestion: 'Bards rule, and you know it.'

Indeed, the Bard was a fairly weak class overall - even with Songs. I don't think I had anyone in the endgame with Song as an ability. (I maxed out all the classes. >.<)

Dancers also. Dance had it's uses, but I didn't really use it all that much.

A lot of people have said Geomancers - I always had someone with the Geomancer abilities when dungeoneering; it just made life a little easier.

LOL at that comment. I have played a bard too (and a Gnome Bard at it, was so frickin' hilarious). Just remember, if you are also Chaotic Neutral, and you happen to have a high crit. damage weapon, and Hold Monster...you can become an Assassin.

But anyways, back to the topic...

I wouldn't say bards suck. They're awesome against undead (Requiem, anyone?), and there's a place where undead are prolific. Plus, they're awesome if you want a certain Summon Monster's help (you know, the Summon that fights with two zombie dinosaurs?)

It's just that there are classes with so much pull, they're unfair (Knight, Samurai, Ninja, all Mages except Geomancer, and sometimes Monk). I'd quite frankly say, if I were to mention a useless class, based on its actions, it should be the Berzerker. Why? I don't like to play my games in auto mode all of the time. And, despite the horrendous damage capability (in a good sense), that does not compense for losing control of the creature. Plus, I believe that Berserk does not make you immune to Charm/Confuse, so... It's nice if you want to have a class that ditches it's secondary for an ability per se, but I never liked it. Bards are fine, so do Dancers (Sword Dance? You 're kidding me?), and even Geomancers. But Berzerkers...eh...the'yre great if you manage to take the time to master them.

To be honest, I would have to say Red Mage.

Don't get me wrong, I love Reds, but you're just wasting your time with them in this game.

My personal favorite Party-type:

Bartz as M. Knight/White Mage (Spellblade/White)
Lenna as Dancer/Time Mage (Dance/Time)
Galuf/Krile as Thief/Summoner (Mug/Summon)
Faris/Sarisa as Ninja/Black Mage (Throw/Black)

Since I never completed this game, I won't know about all the classes but I do know that the Bard and Dancers aren't very good classes. They are both pretty weak and just plain useless to me, I think they are in almost any game. These are the classes that I would use the least. A lot of the others were rather good though! Singing in a battle seems kind of wussy to me haha.

I agree that the bard class is completely useless, also i think that the trainer and blue mage classes are useless too, there arent enough decent blue mage spells, bar mega flare, mighty guard IMO, and i dont understand what the use of being able to capture an enemie to throw it back next battle is?

the dancer class is good for the 4x power attack and the temptango, if you dont have or use the dancing dirk.

That would be Beserker because of the absolute randomness, and you lose control of said character in battle, and bard. Bard was totally useless in this game, getting those songs weren't really worth the effort, as none of those songs did nothing but make the monster mad.
