so is having a save file with over 300 hours of gameplay and every item in the game over kill ?

i have every char + cloud lvl 99
i completed the secret dungeon ( sucks )
99 of every item
secret hunt is what to me the longest time and making sure i was able to steal the items i wanted from each boss or monster ....

If you have played the PSP version you will realise that there is WAAAAY more to get than what you find on the PSX.

However I was not able to achive such greatness on PSX. I did get cloud to level 99 and beat Deep Dungon, but still it was not as cool on PSX...

I think that it is a bit of a overkill because it takes out the challenge in a game.

Are you sure you have 99 of every item? What about the ones in the poacher shop? You have to have gotten 99 Ribbons early in the game as well as the rare item that the first stage pig gives when poached. Also, overkill would also require you keep every character that is given to you through the storyline, and train them using the level up and level down trick to max out their stats. That, alone, would takes years to do, unless oyu completely ignore your life and work constantly on it! Until then, i don't think you could call it a perfect game yet.

He never said it was perfect! He said it was overkill. What he means(at least thats what im interpreting it to be) is that his saving is so powerfull the game gets boring and all he has to do is the ridiculous stuff that no one ever does.(Such as Level up strategy)

maybe if you love the game and its second time through its not overkill...but first time through any game i dont use any strategy or try to achieve the secret stuff except like getting cloud in FFT. when i feel like it overkill is fun but first time it takes away the fun
