Inventory | I doubt that too many people have done this. This probably must have taken you hours. Really I think it would be kind of pointless to level up so quickly, but if you have time to spare. I've never done this but maybe some time I'll have to try this. Also wouldn't you have to kill of Delita? Wouldn't he just end up killing the enemy? I think it would be hard to get him to level 99.

Inventory | well the cool thing is that every other player that joins your party becomes equal in level.. its great to get orlandu, beowulf, cloud ect. at level 99. by the way i have a 45 hr a week job as well .took me a few months at just the first random fight..p.s. if anyone is a die hard fan like me and wants a copy of this memory card let me know. i am new to this forum and been playing ffantasy games since the original. tactics by far is the ultimate in my opinion and iv'e cleared my reg life for the psp version. awesome site keep it up...

| Uhm, I hate to disappoint you, but Cloud doesn't come at 99. He comes at 1. I know because whenever I got Cloud and my party was 40-50+, he was at 1. He doesn't come in with the party average. And no, I haven't done the 99 thing. It's kind of pointless to do that. There's no more challenge or fun. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | yes you are correct that cloud does come in at level 1 . i confused myself because of course all of my characters are at level 99. couldn't help myself maybe its O.C.D. they all must be level 99....p.s the game is so awesome but its also too short.just another way to extend it. playing it at level 99 means that although all of the "core" fights will be easier all of the rest of the random battles of monsters are also at level 99 but remember at the begining of the game there are no real weapons.. try hitting a level 99 chocobo with a rock and you have no armor...ya not easy

Inventory | Well, I have never done that, I would have gone crazy. Although I did see my friends save record of getting to level 99 in FFVII in the first Reactor. I was like ![]() EDIT: for typing

Inventory | Well, I've never done it in the past, but on my current game on the PSP, I am still on the first chapter but Ramza is on level 60. Basically, I just want to get the Dark Knight job before I move on.

| Reproducing is fun. | the only time i level 99ed my chars was the second time playing through just to kill ALOT of time. and i still waited until the last of the game to do that. | ||||||||

Inventory | I have never done this, but in truth it seems to make more sense levelling up at the beginning then as opposed to going all the way through the game and stopping before the last battles and levelling up everyone there. I am not suggesting that anyone needs to do this as the last battles (well actually all battles) are piss easy. But for perfectionists that want all jobs mastered and everyone at level 99, I know I'd much rather do this nearer the beginning of the game and then have an enjoyable game with access to all job classes and abilities as opposed to getting all jobs and abilities in dribs and drabs throughout the game/at the end.

Inventory | I got to about level 40 something with my team before Sweegy Woods, or perhaps the battle after...either way I got that far then. I was satisfied since i was going for job classes not levels. When I got to chapter 4 I got a couple guys to the 90's. I got distracted with some other games but seeing as its always saved on my PSP I shall get back to it this winter. but I'm on my way. I wouldnt want to get to level 99 in the begining though. Eventually the battles were retarded. I would take a while to use a basic broad sword on a chocobo with god knows how much life and then it heals....yeah you want to scream.

Inventory | Sorry I don't want to sound like an idiot but i just got this game. When u guys are talking about levels do u mean the highest job level the character has or does the character have a basic level like other final fantasy games? So this thread is telling me that a good way to level up is to attack my own characters in random matches. I'm guessing u use lots of potions and pheonix downs. Are there other techniques to level up.

Inventory | When they talk about levels there talking about the individuals level not their job, because their job level only goes to 8. The other tech. i used to level up is to make sure you learn chakra (form the monk ability) place that charcter in the middle, only leave one enemy and have your party attack that person and just keep useing that ability.

Inventory | I've gone up to level 70 or higher just fighting at the first random battle. PSX version. No cheats. I haven't done it in awhile, so I can't remember what level I was at precisely. I did have mastered Calculators though, if that tells you anything. o.O I know you guys might be laughing at this, but it was actually worth the time level building. Whenever I want to start a new game (which happens fairly often), I start from that file and never need to build throughout the game again. I just cruise through the game in a few hours, and it's so much better since you can concentrate on the storyline and its diverse plot twists without worrying about leveling. I should point out that in case anyone cares, the levels of the creatures you fight in the "planned" battles are always constant with the exception of Sweegy Woods, the second place in which a "random" battle can be fought. The "planned" battle there pits you against monsters who are your level (at least in the PSX version), so that can possibly make things a bit harder for those leveling up in the beginning.
