Inventory | I really don't like squire because I want to master everything in every job class but I have to wait until the end of the game to master it. I was told that you get a really useful ability and I'm only just a little bit past Gafgaron.

| parkour messenger extrodinaire | Gadgeteers ruled, well mine always did. but for uselessness, well, in FFTA I'd have to say that the most useless class was the morpher, They just were never that usefull for me I guess, and in tactics, archer, or geomancer. | ||||||||

| In Tactics on the PS1, I would have to say the Squire class was the most useless. At first, it was really benefical to having them in your party but as the game progresses on, you have more options to switch to better jobs like Chemist, Summoner, Oracle and the only good thing that I can say I liked about the Squire job was the little JP boost ability thing. In FFTA, I would have to say the morpher as well. I don't think I ever had anyone in my party have that as a job. Sages and Paladins pwn it. Nuff said. ![]() | ||||||||||||

I also think that the Heaven and Hell Knights were the worst jobs. Their attacks were random and they weren't even powerful. Also they couldn't even equip good weapons. I wish that they would have been a better class. For FFTA I think that the Morpher was the worst class. I didn't really like their abilities. They didn't have any abilities worth learning.

Inventory | The Heaven & Hell Knights weren't exactly "random", or at least the number of attacks weren't? I forget, but they were based on their Faith stat as I recall... Also, anyone who disses Calculators doesn't know how to use them properly. I mean, Holy (and/or Flare depending on what route you took), no MP cost, nigh unlimited targeting range, and no movement necessary (which helps w/their low Speed). At the very least you could turn them into Ninjas and use the Calculator as secondary command to REALLY punish your enemies. I'd say Mimes are more useless, but only because I just don't want to have to set them up right...I mean, it's basically like giving your party another range square...kind of useful for Summoner-based parties, I guess...but a Physical based squad is going to take too much time to set up your Mimes to do well with...not worth it...especially for how many Classes your Mime has to go through just to get to it.

Oracles must have been the worst class. Even with the cheat to make your character learn all of their abilities instantly they still suck. I've beat the game 2 times, had 7 different oracles and not one ever helped in a fight. For some odd reason their attacks never hit. Maybe one out of ten blind spells would hit and even at 90% accuracy, its like they hit themselves with it. And besides when you get Beowulf, The Temple Knight, he has increased accuracy, all the same spells and about ten new ones.

| Hero Complex | like V_Translanka said, whoever disses Calcs obviously couldn't use them first, just have your character learn all the abilities. Then, job change the character to a faster class that has good MP Power, such as a geomancer. Use equipment to raise MP power & speed, and set math as a second skill. Afterwards, just cut loose. sure, it takes forever to learn how to effectively use math, but after yo uget the jist of it, you'll be pwning everyone you face. *note. have everyone equip an item that absorbs holy, then have math cast holy on pretty much any number. you'll heal, enemies die. | ||||||||

| The Whitemage, Curaga's only 300gil | Oracles, I believe that Oracles are the worst because all they do is status effect magic and almost all the time miss or even if they do hit, its not useful. EDIT: I put an explination Last edited by TehRealDinnin; 03-10-2009 at 09:20 PM.. | ||||||||

Inventory | I didn't quite enjoy the calculator, that was just my frustration in not using them correctly though. As for every job class, I didn't mind them so much. Character-Specific jobs on the other hand: Hell Knight and Heaven Knight (Marach and Rafa, War of Lions Version) were annoying as hell. Sometimes they'd do massive damage, but most times (and I mean approx. 4 outta 5 times) they'd miss or only hit the target once.

| Gageteers were useful but if used by me and factoring in my terrible luck you get a massive, self afflicted anialation. My favorite FFTA charecter was the Defender hands down. Perfect Defence is great when your enemys are all surounding you. I also enjoyed most moggle classes especially juggler. FFT, I did not like Rafa and Malak...They were never helpful to me. Im not saying they are bad but they just didn't work for me, it was a similar problem when reis stoped being a dragon.....that made me Angery. Oracles are pretty useful but the fact it takes time to cast their spells is their downfall. Once you get Beowulf, the abilities of the Oracle foucused in his templar skills are pretty helpfull. But seriously....Sword Saint. Nuf said. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | i personally liked chemist, but anyways im thinking about FFT not the FFTA. I personally liked most of the characters, even the Hunter was fun to play around with against beasts so it came in handy their (FFTA) i personally didn't really get into the gunner as he wasn't really my kind of class since i didn't like most of his/hers abilities.

| Well, Gadgeteers do have a slight hint of advantage, but that makes them one-trick ponies. If you have a heck of items that grant immunity to a specific effect, place it on your party, and then unleash the same attack over, and over again, the enemy will eventually be crippled. Do that with Chroma Gem or Black Ingot, and you realize the magnitude of how good the Gadgeteer may be. However, he's way too easy to beat, and his moves consume too much MP. It takes too much to fix the Gadgeteer to make him useful. Rafa/Rapha and Malak/Marach are highly situational, and so does Reis. The brothers get a lot of hate because they need a lot of stuff to be useful, but if you know how to properly use a Bard and a Dancer, then the end result isn't as bad. A good training is knowing how to set up the infinitely better Triple Flame and Triple Thunder moves from the Hydras, and work similar trends with them. If not, just keep them using Bardsong and Dance, to their content. Reis is also highly situational, if only for one thing: handling Hydras. Reis makes the best monster in the game even better; that alone counts her out of being sucky. She makes one mean Mediator/Orator as well, and giving her Equip Gun and send her as a Dragoner/Dragonkin makes her even better. The only move I really loathe is Holy Breath, since it's even worse than the Mantras/Truths. Yet, none compare to the utter suck of an FFT Archer at late-game. Early game, they're really useful because they use long range weapons. Late-game, Guns more than replace Bows, are a bit more powerful, and you can use them with better effect than Bows. And the Charge/Aim ability becomes worthless after time. The amount of damage you gain is insignificant next to spells or sword skills. Onion Knights and Mimes have some utility at least at late game (OK's equipments, and Mimes' penchant to repeat stuff coupled with Arithmeticks) | ||||||||||||

| Reis was the absolute most powerful character class. The Dragoner/Dragonkin had amazing HP, MP, PA, MA, and SP. Reis can easily destroy every enemy in one attack with Math Skill/Arithmaticks. | ||||||||||||
