ok yes, this remake does look badass - and maybe my increasingly bitter taste for sony products is rubbing this announcement the wrong way against the fabric of bias that is my mind. i just don't understand why it took developers this long to look at the PSP and say "wow - there's a lot of power here. why don't we actually make a few good games instead of lower class knock offs of 'best selling' ps2 games?" yes please, i need both a scarface and godfather game on my handhleld - not to mention like 5 need for speed games and 17 EA sports titles being shoved down my throat each year. redesign and cheaper price is the only thing that can save the PSP now - but seeing how many people in this thread are already saying "this sells me the PSP" who knows how many squenixphiles will jump on the UMD wagon. maybe with about 10 titles this incredible the PSP would end up not being the biggest waste of time since the n-gage lol.

ok, i might've gotten a little off topic there hehe - yes, this remake looks fucking tight as fuck.

I'd just like to state that Sony has shipped a little more than 20 million PSP's compared to Nintendo's ca. 35 million Nintendo DS. So I wouldn't say that the PSP is being destroyed. In fact I would say that it is doing quite considering that Nintendo has been more or less alone on the handheld market for so many years.

I'm not horribly interested in the remake, but the new game sounds exciting. I really hope that it does not end up on a handheld console though. Final Fantasy Tactics deserves to move back on a major console.

Well I don't see this posted anywhere else so I'll post it here:

It says that there will be another "new" class to the game: Dark Knight. Ohh and that Balthier from FFXII will be in the game ala Cloud but that it will have an impact on the story. I don't know how the'll do that but I'm interested. Too bad I'll never buy a PSP or a DS since I pretty much have lost faith on the handheld consoles.

I'm glad my PSP will finally get some USE.... nothing intrigues me when it comes to PSP; now I'll finally have something to use it for other than an oversized music container...

PSP is an awsome hand-held console, however there have been (in my opinion) no good games released for it that make the system worth buying.
