If you could make a class what would it be

It would be nice if you could make "Vampire" a class. I suppose it's more of a race but it would be cool if you could.

Like if you did a certain sidequest you could have to option of turning all or some of your human characters into Vampires.

They could have an extreme weakness to fire, but are able to regain health but damaging other players, be it friends or foe.

They could also wield swords and the like but only light armour. The speed and evasion would be very high and they would have a very good movement range, but this is compensated by a lack of defence or magic defence.

Oh and can get some status inflicting spells such as sleep, slow and drain.

I hate to crush your dreams but Reis(or however you spell it), Beowulf's wife starts out as a Dragon and turns back to a human but having dragon powers. I've seen you play tactics and I know you dont use her mcuh.

First and foremost; Cyberdemon. Though it's better as a Lucavi than as a PC.

Second...it seems you've never seen a dragonborn, right? That's pretty much the closest thing to a half-human, half dragon pure hybrid. There's also a true half-dragon for those who wanna be inclined towards political correctness.

Still: for those who want to make classes based off races, do you really want some of those people wandering around your FFT Ivalice? I certainly wouldn't: the game wasn't designed to allow Archaeodaemons and Ultima Daemons in the party, why would they allow Cyberdemons, or non-Reis half-dragons? Reis itself is a half-dragon, as the game suggests that she had dragon blood in her heritage, which made her a Holy Dragon. Might be wrong, but the game suggests it. Then again, FFT: WotL made Celebrant Bremondt a Dark Dragon, and he apparently has no draconic blood in his heritage...

Another class that would fit well is a Druid. Geomancer pretty much covers what a Druid should do, but given that the newer games have spells like Aero, Water and Quake, which are (or have turned into) stalwarts of Final Fantasy as much as Fire, Blizzard or Thunder. Besides, the Geomancer is pretty much terrain-dependant, which while entertaining, it isn't as useful as it should be (along with the fact that it's weaker than a true spellcaster or Monk/Ninja class). The problem with it is that spells like Tornado and Quake are already part of one of the Lucavi's abilities, and they are meant to be pretty powerful, so they better be washed-down abilities that scale in power as the Black Mage spells.

Anyways, even with that being possible in some fantasy universe. Doing some half breed or something is pretty stupid. It's like, well, I like this, and this, so lets put them together. Which in my mind makes no sense at all, how does a dragon breed with a human. (Unless you are going into some logic where the dragon does have it's human form, yes I do play a lot of Warcraft RTS but I'm sure it's also like that in other stories) I see something like that, is a way of cheating. I mean, a dragon has long life, but you want to be a human? Well I'll go half dragon half human and live to be 500.

Ok I shall agree with you on one thing. The half-breed idea has been over used in almost everything. I for one dont like the idea of a half dragon half human beacuse thats just not fair. Humans vs the lucavi is the name of the game and having dragons just isnt right, I mean its not their fight.

Im starting to wonder if Square is trying to prove a point here. In almost every final fantasy game humans start to lose a fight and then they have to call upon some strange creature or somthing to help them win beacuse we as humans just hate to be proven wrong or to lose. But that is just my opinion.

But you -CAN- make a class! IT'S CALLED HACKING!!! Eh, whatever. My favorite class is Mystic Knight. Enchants blades with elementals to deal extra damage and make for weakness killers. Sort of like what ninjas do with their balls for the first half of the game.

That'd be Final Fantasy V. It's also known as "Sorcerer" for those with the PSX version, or also "Magic Knight". It basically places the spells on the weapons, and then casts them when you attack, always. It's like having three versions of the Icebrand, one per each of the elements, and then dealing damage with each strike.

Which, as you may notice, was the whole point of the Icebrand/magic guns. Having something like the Mystic Knight was going to be too weak or broken, as the attack would have had to run as either ATK (which makes little to no sense), MATK (and having a warrior with huge MATK growth would unbalance the game), or both (and that is so messy, it isn't funny), plus you'd ignore most of the spells and go straight for Guns + Flare, or Bows + Firaga/Thundaga/Blizzaga.

Besides, if you want that kind of power, just go and play WotL, which makes some sword moves dependent on weapon element (specifically the Holy Sword skills, which aren't Holy fixed anymore)

i've got a couple first i would make a demonic swordmaster or demon knight and they would be like Dante or Vergil out of Devil must cry and once they hit a limit the could turn into various demons like Vincent out of FF7 with his limit break and they could wield guns or swords but because they are demons heal spells would hurt them and dark and death spells would heal them.

and they second would be a Titan sorcerer who could summon or turn into mythical gods and titans like Ra the egyptian sun god or zeus the greek god and use their respective powers

Well, think of that as either a coincidence, or perhaps something that your unconscious gathered but your conscious self didn't. Which is the sole reason why you seem to dream about it.

Hey, you ain't alone. If you have ever heard of the term "gish", you're going in the correct path: a warrior that uses swordplay and spellcasting in tandem, in combination. That is just a fan-term for that combination, though a really obscure one. It just happens that FFV had actually coined that concept.

Oh, if you stretch it a little, Square actually coined it twice: the Gladiator from FFTA/2 also uses that kind of ability, except as a move and not as a buff. And I could go on.

Don't feel bad about being pointed out something; it just goes to tell you that there are some other people who have thought the same thing as you first. Happens all the time.

If I made a class it would be along the lines of preventative healer (along the lines of the mystics in everquest II) where you would put on your wards and then when they got hit the ward would absorb so x amount of the initial damage. They would also have a few elemental based damage spells (kinda like the geomancer) and could wear up to leather armor and use short swords, spears and rods/staffs.

Cameo Knight (Male) and Cameo Knight (Female)

Both secret characters able to shift into characters of their gender from mainstream games. Both would likely be imbalanced but would only be able to shift into a character once, at the start of each battle, and have unique attacks and attributes defined by the character they've become.

For extra fun they could randomly become any of the possible characters and a few with absolutely rotten stats and abilities could be thrown in the selection pool.
