That's cool Cobain. Who would do all of the classes though? Some people are dedicated to something like that, but someone should only participate in that if they enjoy. Me? i just stick to a few classes that would be fun and challenging at the same time.
I had posted the instructions in case anyone wasn't sure how it was completed. On a side note, no one has actually completed a pure SSCC calculator. There's a running gag on gamefaqs.com about people who have completed a pure SCC with calcs, which is quite humorous. |

There are two people who have completed the Calculator SCC. This took both of them upward of a year, endless patience, and epic amounts of luck manipulation. You know how when some people emulate a game, they'll keep save-stating until the randomness works in their favor? Well, these guys had to keep resetting until the enemies had crappy equipment and good zodiac signs and even then, battles still went like 50/50... if Damage Split didn't trigger, you were hosed.
Calculator SSCC is simply impossible. Even at level 99, a solo calculator would never be able to get through the game. |

I went with the Weigraf/Velius fight. The first time I ever played the game, I got too frustrated with this battle and stopped playing. Then, a few months later, I started a new game and leveled up so intensely, (due to the paranoia of losing to him again) that I ended up killing him in one turn of two hits for 999 HP each from Ramza as a Monk with the Ninja's "Two-Swords" ability. So, then I felt like an ass 'cause it was too easy. But, the whole point of this is that I still remember how terribly difficult this battle was.
Runners-up: I agree with Cobain, the battle atop Riovanes castle is an absolute pain in the ass. Rafa is entirely too stupid... And also, Dorter Trade City is a seriously difficult battle for being that early in the game. I remember getting so pissed off... BTW, SSCC w/ Calculator is ****ing over-the-top. I mean, it's hardcore, but...geez...I see what Cobain is saying in that it's kinda ridiculous...but, if I ever meet somebody who does it, I'll shake their hand just 'cause I'm a tool for that kind of crap. ![]()

The hardest battle for me was the final battle with Wiegraf. Ramza was a little above average level wise but still I got pummled whenever I went against him. My friend told me some good advice and it worked. the easiest way to beat him is to turn into a squire and use yell so you can speed up, then keep using it, and have your 2 sword ability on and crush him. It worked well for me, and it should for you.

Golgorand Execution Site for sure!!
When I first played the game, I wasn´t prepared for this battle. I saved in the wrong place at the wrong time and didn´t have some of the best jobs and abilities! I kid you not when I say I probably re-did this battle over 10 times!! I remember that I got so damn angry that I threw the controller against the wall!! But after playing the game for the second time, it wasn´t too difficult. All the battles become hard if you´re not prepared for them. Its all a question of having nice stats. |

Lol, on another note I remember way back when I didn´t even have the game, I borrowed FFT from my friend who also didn´t know how to play. I couldn´t play it for my life! I just couldn´t get past the Dorter Trade City battle, so I gave up and returned the game.
So that´s my first experience with FFT ![]() |

I found Dorter Trade City the hardest because I hadn't leveled my party well enough to easily dispatch the group. With the other battles, I had already visited many battlegrounds and gained many abilities that the other storyline battles were of no issue. Usually, I beat them by Inviting all the lackeys, then killing the specified boss.

The battle against Wiegraf one on one was literally impossible.
I quit the game for 3 years because of it. I had to be cheap to win the first few times, and only did I find heroic success when I went in with Ramza as a mastered Dragoon. I found it's weakness!

The battle with Velius is the hardest hands down for me I had more trouble with that then even the final battles. Velius is so strong and he usually destroys the rest of my team with cyclops very close to the beginning. That is one of my most dreaded battles of all the FF games where I have to prepare a new and different strategy carefully each time because I usually diversify my characters uniquely each playthrough. the rest of the battles are nothing compared to that one... *shutters* oh the horrors.... but it is fun when i'm not smashing my controller because I was so close
(Its probably a lot harder for me to because under no circumstances do I like any of my characters to die perminatly, even the un-special ones I usually use) |
