These games are basicaly the same games. They both have the same fighting and equipting setup. They have mostly the same classes. use alot of the same items. The only big difference is the plot. Which i think is where the original pulls ahead. Tactics had one of the msot developed and adult hemed storylines of any game that i have ever played. Advance's storyline wasn't bad, but it was more for kids. So i think FFT is hands down the better of the two.

Good man... I'd have to say the best Char. on my team was Cloud. the one I built up the most. God only knows how I got him, as I only did it once...

But I've beaten both games, I must say, I was deeply disappointed when I first started it, The game is Hokey.....honestly, it sucks...

Looks like someone wasnt paying attention. The games only real similarity was that they looked the same. Re-play FFT, then go back to FFTA. You'll notice the differences.

I think it's great that only one guy voted for FFTA..... hilarious...

FFT is much better. Mainly becasue it doesn't have the crappest story ever in a Final Fantasy. I mean being transported into another realm by a magic book. LAME!!!

Definitely FFT. Both games are nice: sans the storyline, FFTA fills my need of mixing and matching characters to make uber-characters, and I love Bangaas, but FFT has a great storyline, and while you get lots of NPCs which do not let you have so much customization, you can still toy with their second Action slot and the rest of the skills. And the battles are so well done, including the Zodiac Monsters boss fights (hands down, Wiegraf's human form should have been the final boss, cause Altima sucked big time), with climactic moments that added to the story, they make this game definitely better. They have to make a bunch of these games (a series of FF tactics...*drool*...).

Lots of things makes FFT my favorite, but there is a particular one that nobody has writen : the music.

With Xenogears, it's the best music I've ever listened in a game.

Im off subject. FFT Is better.

The only thing FFTA has over it is that you can play it in a car on the way to a train that will wake you to an airport XD
Preach it sista, FFT owns FFTA. They're both great games, but the original still holds the title.

Aww... not very many people like FFTA, kupo... I like it because it's the only Final Fantasy I've ever played. Does FFT have Moogles in it? And who is Cloud?

Well since you only played FFTA then I guess we'll ignore your comments. But, Cloud is the main character from FF VII and FFT doesn't have moogles, which is a good thing. There are very few races.

Why is it a good thing if there are no Moogles, kupo? Do you not like us? lol But today I bought FFT at a yard sale, and so far it IS indeed better than FFTA. The graphic are WAY over FFTA's head, and the battle system is a tad more involved, kupo. So yeah FFT is better. But FFTA is good for travelling, or if you have an annoying little brother who always wants to play your PS2, kupo!

After watching my boyfriend play FFT:A, I can comfortably say FFT is way better -_-; The law crap is just annoying, and story is as stale as week old bread. It does have it's plus. I love how the battle system is nearly identical to FFXI (which I enjoyed). However, the clases were limited and there wasn't enough explination on certain classes, like Morpher. Anyway, that's just my take on FFT:A, that and the moogles were freaking adorable.

You couldn't see that yourself?

Don't even consider them related (or a sequel to the other). T1 has to be the best "Assembled" FF ever made. It's actually put together too well to even be considered a FF. The only real thing that keeps it all related is the name itself. FFTAdvance shouldn't be considered a sequal to T1, or even a FF for that matter. It's not the worst FF ever made...(9 has that title), but it's right there with it.

You may as well go through T1 for the 6th time rather than waste a day on FFTAdvance.

Even if its not a sequel, it just wasn't as good as FFT. I say FFT was better, I like the setup and the storyline alot better and I have to say I was very disappointed with FFTA, the law system really ruined the game and the storyline was rather meager. Granted, I didn't think the "Getting sucked into the Book's world" was a lame story, I thought it was pretty unique; after all, we are running out of unique storylines these days.

Overall, I prefer FFT more than FFTA.

FFT all the way. FFT had the most detailed and enthralling story line that I have ever seen in a FF game, even supirior to ff7 IMO. It had good gamplay, good re-play value, and was just great overall. FFTA is still a great game but I am a story liker and FFTA doesn't come anywhere close to FFT in that department.

Dude.

No way FFT is better than FFTA. FFTA is the bestest game ever made, on any console...

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. FFTA blows ! As said earlier, how could you even compare one to the other, aside from the title?

FFT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dark, mature storyline
Enthralling gameplay; I get so pumped in some battles.
The music is the thing that probably gets me pumped. The FFT OST is second to only Chrono Trigger, and perhaps Chrono Cross.
I love the graphics. It came out after FF7. Personally I rather have smoothe, less dynamic graphics, than have the highly polygonal graphics like 7. (Dont assume from this I dont like 7!)
Cloud is in it...c'mon people...
More hidden stuff that you really have to work for.
It's hard at times! I love diffulculty, if it's a fair kind of difficult.
Takes a long time to complete.
Much cooler job classes. Maybe not as many, but much coolers ones. For instance, FFT's Dragoon >> FFTA's Dragoon.

FFTA
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
....Let's face it, there's little, if anything that this game has over it's predecessor.

I think TTF is better because of the story line and the main charecter is a lot less unforgiving.
