I though it was a really good ending, a great ending for my favourite FF

I wanted more. I wanted answers to where Zidane came from, and what Zidane and Dagger's future (and children?!?) have in store. So much so that I started making a fan book for it, which I still have, but it's not very good. But to counter what I said, I still loved it enough (and the end song) so much that I beat the same game 2 more times, just to take it all in.

I thought the ending was one of the best next to FF8's ending (though FF8 left some things unanswered....).

I still wish I could have learned why Necron was the final boss. He popped up out of nowhere. Was he the crystal in the logo? What's his story?

And what happens to Zidane and Garnet? They get together it's obvious but the fact remains that she's Queen and he's a thief. Beatrix and Steiner let them be together but wouldn't there be some nobles or advisors who'd be against them getting together? And how does Zidane take to life in the palace? Or do you think they just date until he proposes? That's a lot of pressure, being King of Alexandria. He's have to learn politics and whatnot. He can't just marry her and not help rule and things.

And Vivi. I'm not convinced he died, or Stopped. And they didn't say it. So where was he?

More background on Quina, Amarant, and Lani would have been nice. Plus, even though Zidane said "don't die on me", I want to believe Kuja lived

Some things were actually left unsaid. I still feel they rushed the game and slapped characters in that needed more story.

The ending to Final Fantasy IX was really good; not the greatest ending I've ever seen, but it was good. I loved the part when Zidane and Garnet reunite, it reminded me the perfect ending to Final Fantasy X-2 with Yuna and Tidus. The Vivi's were pretty funny too.

It would be more dramatic if Zidane really died with Kuja. Imagine how glorious it would be.

Very Good

I think FFIX's ending was one of the top 3 (if not the best) endings I've ever seen through all of the FF games. I mean, compared to FFVIII's ending, FFIX just blew it out of the water. I think it was a decent ending to a great game...it wasn't perfect by any means, but it was worth the 40+ hours.

I think it was great. Just the ending needed for a game like that. Absolutely PERFECT! Another ending wouldn't make it. Yeah, and...well... I cried too, but it's just between us.

The whole game was preparing a happy ending, didn't you notice that? And when I first thought Zidane was going to die, I found it way unfair and stupid. I mean, the whole game was fun and love and flirt and it just couldn't end like that. It's not like FFX when from the very beginning the game prepares you for a sad... too sad ending.

Anyway back on topic:

FFIX's ending answered everything I had wanted to know, I've played it since it first came out. The only thing that was left as a hole for me was Zidane's return at the end. It was a very beautiful ending, I wish they could talked more about how Zidane was able to escape from the Lifa Tree. Other then that, I loved the ending.

I honestly wish that they added another secret addition to the ending.
SPOILER!!:
Getting the Hammer to see the extension in the play during the final scene.
If they added an ending for accomplishing something else which the extension would show how Zidane escaped alive and his journey back to Alexandria. (Only question is, where would they add that scene into the ending)

I think that this ending did not need any more, it was not perfect but it damn got the job done.

I thought the ending was a great one. But I don't see why Garnet didn't recognize Zidane's voice even when he was playing Marcus. He might've faked Marcus's voice, but still, she should be able to know, right?

I thought that the ending was just perfect. It has a little bit of surprise since Marcus turned out to be Zidane, but I kinda knew from the start since main protagonist don't die. I was a little sad how Kuja ended up dying. I thought Zidane could've saved him. What if he's still alive? How do we know?
