I wouldn't want a sequal or movie of this game. I thought that this game ended pretty well and didn't need a sequal or anything. I wouldn't want a sequal to just make the original game look bad.

A movie on this game? Nah, the characters are too cartoony with a serious nature. It's a bit weird when you think about it.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't watch it, but still... |

A sequal to Final Fantasy 9 wouldn't be a bad idea just don't over do it like they did to Final Fantasy 7. PLEASE NO MORE FINAL FANTASY 7.

I would be against a sequel of any kind because, as many have already said before the game ends well enough that all questions about the future are answered.
I would (as also many have said) like to see/read a series of short films/books about each of the main characters' (Main party+Beatrix, Fratley (could be included into freya's), etc.) pasts. I don't like what square are doing with turning each game into a project, and i only see the main series (the numbered ones (not including 11)) as 'true FF games'. Advent Children was a good movie but square are turning a series of amazing games into an even more obious money making franchise

After the inner fangirl squealing, "Yay, more FFIX!" was squashed, I came to this conclusion:
I would love a sequel, if it was given enough time and thought, and an excellent writer. Oh, and don't let Nomura come near it with a 40 foot pole. I love the man, but FFIX is not his style. It could follow more minor characters, letting the protagonists of the last game rest in their well-deserved happy ending. ........Oh, who am I kidding?! I just want me some more Amarant!  So in conclusion, if they do it well, I'm all for it. If they didn't have enough resources to devote to it, leave it alone. FFIX was awesome enough to stand on its own, without a sequel. |

Final Fantasy IX is so perfect it would be foolish to kill it with spin-offs. A remake would be great (FFX battle system wouldnt hurt) but donīt expect it in the near-future. PS4? |

Where would they go with a movie? I think IX ended perfectly so they can't do anything like they have done with VII. All of my questions were answered in-game.

What about a Manga guys? It would answer some questions as to what happened to Zidane after the incident in lifa tree, how Vivi had kids
 and How Eiko is living in lindblum with Cid and Hilda. I would want to know about what happened between that time period to the final act of the game. Wondering if Fratley ( Freya'a boyfriend ) ever got his memory back lol, it would answer some of my questions I've had for years lol

Um okay.. going back on t the subject of FF9, and not FF7, I don't think FF9 should make a movie and it doesn't need a sequel. Kuja's gone.. Garnet and Zidane are living happily ever after together. Why make a sequel? If anything, FF8 needs a sequel because there's too many stupid plot holes in it.
