I really did, i used to wait for her to stop.

I know all she sang was la over and over but i thought it was really good.

That's what it did to me too. I would try to imagine what her voice was like based on her singing, it was kind-of hard though.

Heh, I didnt care for it much... infact I turned off the volume of the TV. I thought Final Fantasy IX had a great soundtrack, with the exeption of Garnet's singing. It just sounded... cheesy to me. I'm more of a fan of instruments than vocals, so it's quite natural for me to prefer the rest of the soundtrack.

Also, for vocals, I prefer the natural sound. To me Garnet's singing sounded like a warm-up exercise before people sing. It reminds me of when I got dragged to choir by a load of friends, who started with scaling much like Garnet's "singing".

I find her singing, and the melody to be really sweet, sometimes, I even sing the song myself.

Hahaha, that's funny. I thought the song was sorta catchy, like the melody was always stuck in my head after i heard it.

I didn't really like it.

Why? Because it sounded too old to be the voice of a 16/17 year old. I mean, yes, I know many people of those ages have mature voices, but still. She sounded like she was late in life. Forty perhaps mid-forties. Maybe I'm wrong, still...I didn't like it much. I like the tune, just not her voice. It was...sort of ew. (For lack of a better word.! )

It was a good tune and one that stays in your head for ages. For saying 'La' over and over again in a melody it quite good. Its not something i'd listen to all the time but still its alright. I have to say, hymn of the fayth is better though and thats something i do listen to.

I thought it was hot and sexy at the same time. In fact, I dowloaded it off I-tunes. I got the short version "A song from her memory" and the actual song with words "Melodies of Life."

They're both good songs, but I prefer Nobuo Uematsue's solo piano pieces where he redoes FF music with just piano. That's my favorite FF music.

I listened the song last night keeping in mind what you said, and yes, it never occured to me, but, she does sound a bit wrong, age wise.
I really don't know how a 16 years old should sound like, but, the singer definetely doesn't sound like it, she sounds like an adult.
