Did You Rename your Characters?

I left the default ones, i see no reason changing them lol, square always had nice names in their games anyway.

I renamed Garnet, Garnet on the second time... It sounded really stupid when they said it was a very good name. I also renamed Steiner, Rusty and he got mad everytime someone called him by his real name...

I always rename the main character to Daniel (my name). I like being the hero, yeah, I have issues .

but my friend once named the main character arfter himself, and named the love interest arfter a girl he liked... I diddn't know what to make of it.

I really don't care for changing character names I never did it for Final Fantasy IX and I never do it for any other Final Fantasy game for that matter. One of the reasons I don't change the character names is because I like to remember the character's name, so when I'm finished with a game, I can talk to people about the character's name and everyone knows who I talking about.

The very first time I ever played FF9 back in 2000 I did change their names. Then about 4 years ago I got the game myself and never changed their names. For me ruins it with a new name whenever I play it again.

when i first played ff9 i was stupid. i h8ted their names, so i made vivi flame, armerant red, quina licky, and 4 some reason, eiko fluga..................

I never rename my characters, and if I do, I don't do it until I've played through the game a few times first. I do remember called Dagger Garnet when I had the option. I thought that was pretty funny. I think there was a line saying "Gar...Dagger..." and after I'd changed it, it became "Gar...Garnet..." I lol'd.

I always use the default names in FF games! only Garnet, I changed her name to Rose! I didn't like Dagger at all!

I dont know why but first time i played the game when i first got Quina i named it "Dumb" ... i wonder why :s
but nowadays i never change any1s name

So do I!!!Dagger didnt suit her at all!!I thought that a hindu name would be good so I changed it to Surja.

It's kind of the same with any FF game, I usually play through the first time with the default names just to get aquainted with the charaters then on my second time through I will change them for shear amusment. If I remember right I changed vivi's name to Castro and Zidaine to Ratboy, just to be stupid and have some fun.

I also left the default names because I was afraid that I'd have a hard time remembering who is who. Especially when their talking about each other. I might confuse Quina with Garnet or something.
