did you ever use eidolons?

I think FF9 was the game where I used eidolons the least. they just didnt do it for me and the damage they do is not really all that good. Which is ridiculous since they destroyed cities when used by Kuja.

The only eidolons i thought were helpful were the phoenix one because it revived the ko'ed party members.

Not unless Garnets drive was on full, which wasn't often, I didn't use her much.
I really liked the animations though, but apart from that I only really used Carbuncle untill I had auto reflect and auto haste on my main characters.
Madeen and Fenrir's full animations were so cool.

I used them a lot, I found them pretty useful. Escpecially Phoenix and Bahamut, they really helped me out.

I didn't find them that useful near the end of the game. It's probably because I'm leveling up my characters to level 99. I only used them when I was weak, and in intense, near death situations.

Phoenix rocks bcoz it revives dead characters and deals damage. Wow.... On of the most useful eidolons.

I noticed that to the first time i played the game i didnt use edilions at all, but ive used bahamut lots of times .

Yeah I used them. I didn't use any of Eikos though. Cause I don't like her. I got ARK and it was really good! So was Bahamut (of course) but alot of others where too.

I used Odin a lot when I didn't feel like fighting anything. Other than that I used Bahamut the most and Leviathan occasionally. The few times Eiko was in my party I'd use Fenrir but I don't really have her around, ever. I think I used Madeen like once, don't really remember though.

It's not that I didn't like the Eidolons, I just had better things to do than summon them all the time.

I never used Eidolons, I only used a few now and then but not regulary and most of the time I never used them even in Boss Battles, just plain attacks got me through, I only used Eiko and Dagger for Curaga and the vital White Mage spells.

yeah i used eidlons, quite lot actually! i know it didn't do much but i used Atmos quite alot, its my favourite!

I used them against that one boss where you deactivate all it's special upgrades(which I thankfully took out). I really needed to use my eidolons in that battle b/c I fought it with my weakest characters b/c Zidane, Vivi, and Steiner were gone for sure on that good 'ol Oeilevert trip.

Other than that, never used them.

I used Eidolons, you guys are insane, you forget Ark, he was the best Eidolon and kicks the s**t outa alot of things if u use it alot. Bahmut is cool when you first get him, i mainly used them for the cutscenes tho... but still garnet was a cool char, but WHERE WAS THE ROMANCE PEOPLE!? Why doesnt anyone EVER get together in Final Fantasys, its so crazy.

I think there must be something wrong with me but the only game in which I really used summons in battle to aid me, was in FFX on my first playthrough. In all the other FF games I played (I, II, IV-IX, all on PlayStation) I used summons only once or twice to see their animations. I always got by without their help.

I would use them frequently throughout the game. Personally I like using Ark, Bahumut, Shiva, Ifrit, Odin, Ramuh, Madden, Phoenix, and so on. Probably during some parts of the game ther're not helpful but I got the 99 each equip stones for each eidolon and since they increase their power, they became mor useful for me.

i didnt even use them except the once just to see what they look like but otherwise i no cos they were very poor compared to the other ff even though i dnt use them that much they still came good in othe games unlike ths one

I actually never used eidolons at all.. i thought they lacked and werent very good at all. i used them when i was bored and stuff =\ other than that i thought they sucked badly.

I only really use Ark.... but I only really use him on the final battle..... I get by fine without them on 9, which is why I think it's one of the best

I used only one. Ark. Ark was like.....crossing bahamut zero from FF7 and Sephiroths "Super Nova" attack....and making it into a summon. It was such a beast.

yeah I mostly just used the eidolons at lower levels when I was getting beat by things like mandragoras. Shiva sure did come in handy against them Other than that Phoenix, Ark, and Bahamut are really the only ones worth mentioning. The others can be outdamaged by Vivi's spells no problem.
