kuja is my favorete ff charater and he is most definatly a man one reason to prove this is he has no womanly parts he might look femanin but there is obv reasons stating he's a man and the rason why kuja might have acted like a girl was his personality with the hair flick witch was amazing and he also had a thing over princess garnet commonly refering to her as his canary

and another quote was in alexandria castle when he put her to sleep he spoke of canaries then and also said "come let me take you to a land of dreams"

and i think he acomplished alot more than most ff enemy's he actualy acomplished whta he set out to do and that was kill garland and he did it with bare hands not the power of an eidolon wich he was originaly going to do until he saw mog go into trance in mount gulug and defeat zorn and thorn
then he destroyed terra wich was something he didnt originaly plan he just wanted to take the entire universe with him when he died and he got soo close to doing that at the crystal world but he didnt have enough time and used ultima on zidane and co defeting them then he lost his trance.

so i really dont think he's a girl at all the way he spoke to was awesome

Kuja is a man for sure. I game tells you that he is a man and that is what I believe. I agree with everyone else who said that he is just a feminine guy and dress wierd. That is about all.

Okay, so I have to add to this discussion

I think Kuja is a femanine male, much like Kefka. There are a few points that bring me to this point:

1) Had Kuja been female, there would have been a deeper connection between Zidane and Kuja. There were many references of how Zidane was to replace Kuja, and the many male connections between that. If Kuja had been female, Dagger would be one jealous mofo at the end when Zidane went to aid him.

2) Kuja's attitude towards women- His name calling of Queen Brahne, the names he used for Garnet and Eiko, his seduction and hostage-holding of Hilde [that's her name, right?]. Much like Kefka, I believe that he is just a femanine male, which adds another layer of personality onto him. and for those people out there who are upset with Kuja's appearence, because he most certainly looks female, I really don't care what he looks like, he's bad a**. His androgonous nature only makes him more of a force to be feared xD

While Kuja does LOOK like a girl he is actually a guy. The way he just goes about doing things would suggest that he is not a girl. Plus, Queen Brahne made fun of him for looking like a girl.

Japanese fiction has a lot of sexy men who don't actually look like men.

There are those who have no defined sexual leanings like Kuja who, as Hilda specifically says, is too filled with hate and narcissism to think about using his time with her as his captive to do anything naughty.

Then there are the pretty boys who look like girls and are clearly gay. Like Jakotsu from InuYasha.

But in the end, he, Kuja, Rosiel...all are sexy. And good characters.

That's all that matters.

If you pay close attention, during an encounter Zidane has with Kuja, Kuja states, "Now that's not a very nice way to greet your brother now is it?"

Since Kuja referred to himself as the brother, that would make him a male.

Quina is a whole different story. However, Kuja wears a crotch piece that does have a bulge, and if he's female, he's stuffing. But he is really nasty. I remeber gagging the first time that I saw the end video of Disc 1, and the memory is still repulsive.

Kuja is 100% a MAN. I can tell why people say he looks like a girl, but in Trance, he looks nothing like a girl anymore, he looks awesome! So stop insulting him, people!! If you've played FFIX you'd know that you owe your lives to him!

Exactly. Remember when you're playing just as Dagger? Kuja shows up and says "I shall take you to a land of dreams" and puts her to sleep. If Queen Brahne wasn't in the room, well...

See, Kuja didn't dress himself, Garland did. And last time I checked, he hates Garland. This may easily be one of the reasons why. So to all you people saying Kuja's gay, then why the hell did he put her to sleep implying one of the most obvious lines intended for a rape scene?

Best line here yet! I totally agree. Kuja wasn't one to decide what to wear; he was created. Like how even though Albel Nox from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is still a guy even though he wears a long skirt!

I seem to believe that Kuja is genderless. He's clearly some kind of artificial...erm creation, and while he is referred to as a 'brother', maybe that is because he needed to be referred to as something.

If he is male, then he is a very feminine male. If he is female, then why is he referred to as a 'brother'. This suggests to me that perhaps he has no gender. After all, does he need one at all? It's not like he has plans to marry his partner and have tiny baby Kuja's (which would be AWESOME), so why such a kerfuffle?

I think we will find out when we hear his voice in Dissidia (CAN'T WAIT )

Hmm this is very true but by just seeing the AMV at the end of disc 1 he/she seems to be very feminem
