Defeating Ozma At Level One.

Dude I think thats almost impossible (im not planning to demoralize you) unless your planning to use a Gameshark and throw lots of Dark Matters on him. Another thing, how can you maintain your character's level if they are gaining experiences during boss fights/forced encounters? I defeated Ozma at level 85 w/o a Gameshark and to tell you frankly, it was just pure luck. Anyway, I hope that you can make it, and goodluck on your journey!

This kind of quest is either heroic or simply stupid. The idea of this type of quest has been around for a long time, but the thing is, most people do this in FF8. You see, in FF8, the enemy forces' level and difficulty relies on your level, thus making it easier for you to stay at a level of choice throughout the whole game.

I will say this though, if you really manage to complete this task, you will have my respect! Good Luck

You should probably post your progress sometime soon. Good luck again. If you do manage to take down Ozma (even if it's at around level 5), I'll be impressed.

I hate to rain on this parade, but it's just not possible. Here's why:

First, your HP, Vitality, and Spirit ratings will be so low that one hit will do any character in, including attacks that target all of your characters.

Second, the actual battle would take an eternity, as your character's attack and magic stats would more than likely be lower than Ozma's vitality and spirit points. You would have to score critical hits non-stop to do any sort of considerable damage.

Third, the real kicker; your agility rating will pale in comparison. Ozma will probably kill off 3/4 of your party before you can act.

Actually, people HAVE done it, Trev. There is at least one FAQ about it at gamefaqs. Even at level one, you can still dish out 9999 damage by using Zidane's Theivery if it's fully built up, and if Quina's HP is 1, he can do 9999 damage with limit glove. So, it is possible, I would just think you have to be very lucky, and use auto-life a lot.

even then...w/o gameshark or the like thereof you can't get to that point without lvling during forced battles throughout the story like SlasherGreiver said unless there's a part of the game that delvls you...and somebody did post screenshots of this on another FF shrine ffshrine.org but they're working on the forum section so it's inaccessible now...but they either edited the screenshots to look like they're lvl 1 by knocking off the 8 or 9 in the menu screen or used gameshark..why do ppl bring this kind of stuff up anyway...trains on FFXI are funner..er..

Get stealing, Frog Eating and Getting Virus' on yer characters.
Then start killing Dragons with Lvl 5 death for Freyas dragon attack thing (sorry i forgot the name)

3 characters able to do 9999 damage, utilise Auto Life and Abilities well and you could easily do it.

Well some people have done it just go 2 www.youtube.com and type in Ozma FFIX for 2 things and type in Final fantasy IX Ozma for more. It will have stuff like Ozma beatin at level 1 and 2.
