Lani: the BOMB?

Am I the only one on this planet who appreciates Lani?

Does anyone remember her at all?

Don't you think she was the BOMB?

My sis says I look like a white version of her ^_^;;; ... Lani rocks. I liked her. She had a cool way of doing things -- though in the end she was kinda a wimp. Whatever. I'll agree and say she's coolio XD.

Lani seemed like an unused boss character that is as easily forgotten as her personality. When you hit the ending and watching it, you see her and are like wait she was that one person, yeah that had about 10 minutes of screen time. She was there and gone. Hardly an important character, besides her direct actions against the party. She says she is going to get the bounty on Red's head, but you never see her again. Though by that point you are all far beyond her limits. Though even still, having her pop up in Treno during the Card Touranment to duel Amarant would have been good closure on her character especially since she is hardly developed.

I had an idea of who she was when you first said the name, but I didn't remember if it was her for sure until I read Andromeda's comment. I have to say that I was fairly indifferent towards her, although she had a very large chest, if I remember, so that is a plus. She wasn't highly irritating, either, even though she was a baddie. Still, if you want to talk overlooked/underused characters, there's much more merit in mentioning someone like Freya, who had a really cool personality and story going, but who was almost entirely ignored part way through the beginning of the second disk.

I didn't remember her saying she was trying to collect the bounty on Amarant (he was called "Red" at first, wasn't he?) All I remember is she was frustrated that he moved in on her bounty, or something, and then she was there again at the ending.

I liked Lani, she needed more game time. I don't think she really got it because she didn't fit in with the rest of the crowd in FFIX. Most of the characters were dealing with conflicts about life, except maybe Quina.
The main reason I liked Lani was because everyone should get behind the axe weilding maniac.

Was she the one teamed with Solt and Peppor? Maybe I'm thinking of a different part. I vaguely remember an axe-wielding woman. Didn't pay her much attention though.. especially if she was with them, because the whole thing with those two was so damn Disney Cliche.

You fight her in that temple that Quina finds in one of the marshes, I think (before you cross over to the other continent). And then...I can't remember much else. Not sure if she teams up with Zorn or Thorn or anything...I just remember the temple thing.

Yeah, you meet Lani in the underground thing with all the Gargants. I wish I could remember the name of it..... she's the woman with the axe, who teams up with Amarant, she also appears later in the game.

Me? I like her. Not just because she has an axe (*drools over axe*), but because I like her attitude where she'll ddo ANYTHING to get the job done. It's really cool of her.

quite rights, Lani is the assassin sent to capture the jewels for the queen. she is sent with amarant.

you encounter her in the tunnels leading to the new continent, (its called Fossil Roo by the way) and at eiko's house in madain sari.

she is crap, she had boobs though, that's pretty sweet.

She is the only female in the game with boobies of SOLID GOLD.
I love her boobies. She is a bit of persistent asshole though, you just want to get to the end of the game and she keeps showing up. Like an ex that won't leave you alone or a turd that won't flush.

I got addicted to her by 3 things:
- her kickass boobs *drools*
- her kickass axe *drools even more*
- her fighting spirit

She deserves more than this underpart. Amarant was a wimp compared to her.
