Ok, I'm still working on my second play through of the story mode and I can't seem to get past that rock head to let me in. I'm supposed to give it an item to where I can fight it (one of the two optional bosses) but I don't know what that is. Can you guys help me out??? I know someone cracked this egg shell...

Inventory | You're probably gona hate me for saying this but you need the dark matter which can only be stolen from zeromus in the final battle. Then you can use the item on your second playthrough because it will be in your inventory. Which means you'll have to kill zeromus again if you want the dark matter and then use it on your next playthrough. Hope that helps.

Inventory | I think you may be getting your games mixed up. In the GBA version of the FFIV, all you had to do to enter the Lunar Trials was beat Zeromus and then load the completed game file. You could then enter the Moa head on the moon and do the Lunar Trials without any items needed. In the DS remake, the Lunar Trials have been completely removed, and the Moa head now serves the purpose of activating the battle with Proto-Babil. The previous poster is right, though. You need to steal the Dark Matter item from Zeromus in the final battle(not in the battle with his invincible hairball form like you used to be able to), and then use it in front of the Moa head on a New Game +. You still get one more playthrough using the same file though, so if you're willing to finish this file(and don't forget to steal the Dark Matter this time!), then you can fight Proto-Babil on your third playthrough. Don't miss the Dark Matter on your second time through, though, since the game only lets you play through three times using the same file.
