FFIV for DS

I actually don't have a DS, but through watching some of the videos on ign, this on in particular, i might feel like getting one. Anyone else feel the same?

Most def. My cousin got a DS so I'm in the clearing to buy it. But yeah, if you loved FFIV on adv., save yourself the torture and get a DS. There's nothing worse then hearing about a game that you can't play man.

I'll be purchasing it. But I've been spoiled the GBA version due to the fact that near the end you can switch out party members and felt quite disappointed that the DS version didnt include it =(

Oh, don't be worried. I have every intention of being the first in line at my local Game Stop on Tuesday morning. Yep. I plan to be playing that game by Tuesday evening, and nothing will stop me. Not the FBI, the CIA, or the PTA.

Like TMCBC, nothing can stop me getting that game. I probably won't get it on launch day- I'll probably end up getting it on eBay the day after- but if anyone or anything gets between me and that game, they'll go home in pieces. Right now, that game is my life force. I dream of it at night, I picture it at school, I can feel it pulling me in every second. Forget "want". I need that game.

OMIGODITSOUTTODAY!! *turns up Celtic Moon recording of Theme of Love on my MP3* Unfortunately, I can't get it today (I'm still absolutely skint), but as soon as I get the cash that game will be mine!! Any opinions from the rest of you? Apart from "omigodSOOOBEAUTIFUUUL*sobs**explodes with happiness*", I mean. XD

So, I've picked up my copy and started playing it. It's graphically very beautiful, though I've never been a big fan of the way the characters are shaped on the screen, with tiny little bowed-out stick legs. Other than that, it's great. And the monsters are a little tougher. For example, the Helldiver's "Beak" attack now causes petrification, which wasn't the case, before. I'm a perfectionist, and right now I'm getting Cecil and Kain to level 20 before entering the Cavern of Mist, so I'm going to take it slowly.

Whoever did the re-development for this game must have read a lot of forums. Awesome features:

1) Auto battle !!!! no more wearing out the "a" button on your DS when all you want to do is level grind.
2) battle integrated beastiary. Now when you cast Libra (or use the beastiary item available for 50gil, or use that certain someone that can do it for free) the bottom screen will forever show the enemy stats when you point to them in battle. No need to memorize how many hit points a goblin has. Just cast libra *once* and it will be right on hand when you need it.
3) skill items (they have a name, I don't remember). When a temp member leaves for good, they give you a single use item that can give their special ability to one of your party members. You can give "kick" to Edge, or presumably boost to Cecil. No char swaps, but you can do some serious customization. Once given, it is forever, so don't give it to anyone but the main 5...

This is so much fun!!!

I was interested to find out that 3/4 of the original plot was left out due to hardware limitations but was let down severely by them only adding a few scenes. I would have like 50% of the original plot so as to get a bigger more in-depth game.

I can't stand the graphism on DS. I enjoy the original graphism =)
