Only CG and... voice acting? <3 Rosa, Cecil sounds wussy. I imagine these voices will probably be carried into Dissidia since it has a Storyline, with KH-ish Animations. I wonder if it's just for the trailer, FMV sequences or if the game will actually have full Voice acting.

well the cutscene looked nice but the voiceover are wat excie me more. i do hoope that they coose a different voice for cecil though. and also i hope that the voice acting was not just for the trailer as cain mentioned. I am really excited about this remake cus i find myselve unable to sit down and play my copy of ff4 advanced. sometimes ill play a little of f it but i just cant really play it. well i think if it was3d id be more excited about the game.

I doubt that it'll be FULL voice acting, only the FMVs. Dunno if the DS can hold voices on top of FF4's awesomeness.

The japanese Megaman ZX had full voiceovers, but then again it used sprites, not 3D models.

Well...i say, its usually that time where i shit myself....bricks that is. First of all, that trailer is super awesome...the whole scene of airships and tanks finally makes baron look a lot more badass than the SNES/GBA games. Secondly, is there an actual in game trailer also? Becaus i try to visit square enix you posted but my japanese is well..very limited..in fact its non-existent.

But if there were many in game videos like that, wuld they really fit on the DS? Isn't this more PSP like? This is why i think its merely a trailer video...

I've been a bit skeptical about yet another remake, since I already have the SNES, PSX, and GBA version, but if this sort of thing is more than just a trailer, I'd gladly consider adding one more to the collection. It'd definately be interesting seeing the characters in a different way, and the music is just as awesome as always.

The cutscenes sure look stunning...The vocals aren't bad either. I have come to like japanese these days.

The thing is that, it's no more good ol' FF IV. They didn't change it when it was released on GBA, but this is completely different. I can't say i like what they did; i can't say i don't.

I just don't understand what they were thinking. Why remake it 3D, especially when they cannot make the charatcers look other than chibi & the worlds "mini". I don't really see a reason why i should buy it, unless there's more to it.

It is simple why they are remaking it. SquareEnix is a business and they have discovered its quick profit to remake their beloved Final Fantasy games. They already have most of the engine to make this game quickly after creating Final Fantasy III. Along with the story, musical score, and game design already designed from the orginal FFIV it won't be very expensive for them to create this remake.

Its low risk. Recent history has shown their games remakes sell well. It doesn't take the sale numbers a new generation FF game would take to turn a profit.

And it will definitly come out here. The days of FF games (at least main series) being released in Japan only are over. Other countries have shown these games are quite profitable outside of Japan (and we've proved we're not too stupid to enjoy them).

I don't quite see why there re-making it though.
Still the Japanese sure can remake a video game. I wonder what other games they planning on remaking...

I thought the graphics were amazing, especially for the DS. And the addition of the voice actings were a definate improvement, though I hope they weren't just for show. Another thing, change Cecil's voice Square, he sounds like a wuss.

God those graphics look fine, but the intro FMV for III is pretty amazing too.
I never got the chance to play IV the last time around, so I'm glad of the chance.
I read somewhere that they are heavily editing and changing the story with I really hope isn't true.

YYYEEEAAAHHHHH!!! I will stay up for a month straight to learn japanese if this game isn't released in the US. THis game looks amazing and Golbez sounds like James Earl Jones (Darth Vader)

I'm glad, except that a) the game's already been remade and b) the characters look chibi again! Am I the only one who finds something odd about this? It just... argh. I'm not the hugest fan of that style of animation.

Other than that, the game looks fantastic. Definitely going to go pick it up.

I for one cant wait to try this new take on FF IV. Im not a fan of that style of animation either but I think it will prove to have more than enough other aspects to overlook that. I just hope they dont mess up the "spoony-bard", even if it was an error in translation.

Not really, the WSC, PS1, and GBA versions were merely "enhanced ports" with a few touch ups here and there. The definition of a remake, to me anyway, is something built from the ground up which this is.

As I've said before, this is what I wanted in the first place. I felt underwhelmed from playing the GBA version.

Blah, "ported"/"remade"... it all equals the same thing to me. = SKEET SKEET = $$$ for S/E.

So basically that means "it all equals the same thing to me" which equals "skeet skeet(on S/E's part) which equals $$$(profit for S/E).
