Sure Golbez is awsome not only is he a tough guy but after he dies his hand can walk away from the fight to battle another day! I think that alone is worth having him on your team.

..I think he would be just as useful as FuSoYa was, wouldnt be really deserving of a permanent position in the party but at the same time he is pretty handy to have. Having Rydia/Rosa in the group would more then cover for his place in the group, plus, they have boobies - and boobies are good.

Well, He would be almost the best people u could have in ur group. He has black magic,summon magic(when u fight him he summons shadow)and he would have strong attack. He has decent HP and I think he could use white magic. He would be the BEST mage and a good fighter.

He would be good in many ways, he can attack well, has good hp, can summon and cast black magic. and he looks awesome!

I would have em on my team for sure im always under lvled so if he was on my team His summoning + Black magic would be another rydia and that would help my Alot

Having Golbez in your party woulpd probably be nice. He can use Black Magic and he has one Summon (The one he sSummons when you fight him). Moreover, he would probably be tough as a fighter, too. However, I don't think that he could replace Rydia and Rosa. Rosa is a White Mage and I can't remember Golbez using white magic spells. Also, Rydia has many more Summons and she uses tough spells, too. Cecila is the mani character so he cannot be replaced by anyone and Kain is one of the most important character's as well. Maybe if he could be used instead of Edge would be better. But I strongly believe that the best thing would be to have an option whether to use him or not, like the rest of the characters (apart from FuSoYa and Tellah) can be used in the party by swithing party members in Mysidia.

No, I would not.

1. As seen in the last part of the game, Golbez, when party-ized, has excruciatingly low HP, just like FuSoYa.
2. Golbez lacks FuSoYa's gimmick: having every White and every Black spell. He only has Black spells.
3. At the end of the game, my Rydia typically has every Black spell.
4. I would have to boot out one of the other endgame party members. I like the endgame party configuration.
5. I wouldn't like how his acceptance into the party would play out in the storyline. Golbez's story is one of manipulation and redemption.

The spell is not White Meteo. It is Double Meteo. A bizzare psuedo-Twin spell that apparently occurs when two Lunarians cast Meteo simultaneously.
The 'W-' indicates 'double', as seen in FFVII as W-item. The W is apparently a Japanese abbreviation.

Definitely. He'd be a very useful character. And if you're worrying about the aspect of having a 'bad' guy on your side, you let Kain hang around, don't you?

My favourite character on my team nahh.OF course black magic,summoning amazing attack,METEOR,and cool theme music are all great reasons to have him on your team

Well, you would have the bros of destruction. Light and Shadow together to fight the malific lunar creatures.....

But the thought of losing em sexies (Rosa & Rydia) leaves a bitter taste and thus i would only have em on condition of losing edge...gee i hate that ninja!
