Would you have Golbez on your team if you could?

I'd have him just for the humour he'd bring to a story. He's a bad guy i can't remember anything about the ending but he's still a thourghly evil person, and having him fight alongside Cecil. I can just imagine every snide, sarcastic and pessimistic comment

I would have loved to use Golbez, except I would like some changes, like more health. I don't understand why he didn't have more health at the end of the game. I mean, he took alot to kill under other circumstances, and the same with Kain in the places you had to fight them. But I'm not really sure who to boot to get him instead, though.

Golbez!!! That'd almost be as cool as having Gilgamesh in your team in FFV!! In short, definitely a yes.

I don't think Golbez is al that usefull. He has black magic, summons and some offensive power but when you have the original party (Cecil, Rosa, Kain, Edge and Rydia) all these skills are available as well.
Besides, Golbez scares the hell out of me. XD

No. He'd only mess up my party's stats. Do we really need two FuSoYa's at once?

Yeah the traditional set is very balance I do agree it may mess it up. Then again Golbez might be some sort of Knight/Warlock mix. He may have extremely high attack, defense, and magic. Though his only flaw might be his HP, which may work opposite of his brother, who has extremely high HP.

Notice that in the game Golbez's HP isn't much different than FuSoYa's and I bet his level isn't bit more lower or higher either. So he probably suffers from low HP. He might also have low MP like Fusoya, who had 190 MP when you first get him I believe.

But his strengths might be he is good at everything else, has high Attack, high defense because he wears armor, high magic defense, high magic attack, and has black magic.

Yeah, having Golbez on your party is Great, then conquer the world. hehe. but its an overkill.

Golbez join the team? Why on earth would I want the brother of light and the brother of dark to team up? They're supposed to be enemies.

I would love to have Golbez, because his Attack can pack a huge punch, and if for no other reason, Dark Dragon. Instant Death. Like the Death Sword that Cecil gets while he is a dark knight, but way better, plus he has an attack which paralyzes the entire party, which against normal enemies if every party member is paralyzed, then it is a game over screen for you.

Meh, in the long run it may be a nuicance having a spellcaster-only character yet again on my team, but in retrospect he would make up for that for his capabilities in donning heavy armor, so yes.

I didn't like him but he'd be very useful if I had him in the team! he has got some great mage-abilities,and can have some sort of Zeromus summoning ability/limit break.
