Of course I like kain better, but yang attacks for about 2/3k while kain attacks for 1/2k's damage
Of course kain is cooler, but I'l change back to him, since I'm now taking the lunar ruins trial. |

Really?Yang??? With which weapon? I'm asking because after he left the party for the 1st time i never used him again. I know the weapon he gets at the trial is ok, but why bother getting it when you can simply use the standard players to beat Zeromus- Kain, Cecil, Rydia & Rose. I also used Edge- he's fast, deals decent damage & throws whatever i can spare, but his defence....he'd KO almost in evey hard battle. When i first got him, even the weakest foes could kill him.
Anyways, i first went to Zeromus when the party was Lv 50 or so & i found it hard. I came again when they were Lv 80 with all their final weapons & he was down really easily. In fact, Rydia was so strong that i didn't have to revive her more than twice (low HP, what can you do). With Kain's Jump for 6k to 7k damage, plus whatever Cecil could pull of it didn't take long. |

My party was around 63-64 when i beat Zeromus, i found the best way to beat him was to kill off Kain and Rydia and just use Cecil, Rosa and Edge.
Have Edge use steal to get the dark matter and have everyone else defend until he's got it and then have Cecil use Crystal, then have Edge use throw until he's run out of things worth throwing then kill him off. Then basically have Cecil attack every turn and have Rosa heal him and herself on her turns, if everyone has a good amount of HP then maybe revive someone every so often to deal a bit more damage. Thought it was a really good final boss. |
