this thought has been on mind for a while now i think it is time to maybe get a second opinion, i want to find out who thinks is the best atk spell of the three, or if you have one of your own tell me what it is personally i always used nuke more than meteo specialy against bosses because it usually does just about as much dmg as meteo only it doesnt cover the whole field, but who knows maybe im wronge.

| Use some grammer girl capital letters are usually used to start sentences, or point out major items. But meh, thats just me.. moving on!- Meteo is a garunteed 9999, so in terms of rawr power *nothing* can beat Meteo.. but it takes so damn long to cast, and Rydia could be killed in the process. - Flare on the other hand, is actually quite random in terms of being useful. Much faster cast-time then Meteo but can vary from 2000 to 7000 damage (9999 if your lucky, heh). - Bahamut is a badass, plain and simple. Quick cast and massive 5000+ damage across the board makes him favorable. ..but you missed one spell, its rather powerful against all kinds of monsters and can cap 9999 easily. Holy Not to be underestimated ^^ I'd take Bahamut over the options on the poll tho, no elements involved so it does good damage. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | Bahamut hands down. The MP cost to damage matches up better with a huge hit to every enemy, and the time to cast is very good.

Inventory | I'm going with bahamut too, it does a very decent amount of damage to the enemy (all enemies for that matter), and it has a fast castinging time. The MP cost really doesn't matter because all the spells listed cost a lot of MP.

Inventory | i say bahamut because the mp is lesser than meteor and the damage takes about 5000 damage depending on level and the casting time is great to cast him

| I'll make you famous | *sorry about the typing im taking a class to help, but im still not that good* well every time i used nuke it always did atleast 5000-8000 but maybe i just got lucky everytime. when ever i treid to use meteo it really didnt help me all that much, yeah it is powerful but it took forever to cast, and i only used bahamut on zeromus. I never really needed him, it was too easy the way through. | ||||||||

| I really enjoy FF games for the main reason of having a wide variety of choices to disable an enemy. So, the ability to choose between Flare, Meteor, bahamut, and holy really makes the game more entertaining. I don't really like meteor since the time it takes to cast it lets the player go for a smoke . However it simply mauls the opponents with (i think) a guaranteed damage of 9999, so i must admire its power.Flare was like the invisible boy who sits in the corner quietly..hehe. Mainly because i never used it more than 2 times. Once to see its potential, and second to conclude that there are better options. BTW, the word mega implies its following word to be multiplied by one million as dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mega states. Therefore it is weird that bahamut's mega flare only inflicts 5000 to 9999 where a simple flare may inflict from 2000 to 9999 damage. Technically, mega flare should inflict from 2 000 000 000 to 9 999 000 000. But, i mean c'mon....thats way too...real. The main point i am trying to make is that by adding certain words before spells causes the player's mind to assume that it is more powerful than the spell without the word. That is why mega flare > flare IMO. Anyway, i digress so back to the topic. Holy, which was pointed out by Dawezy, is truly one of the badass spells of FF4. Its potential to cause well over 4000+ is decent, however it really wipes the floor with undead (dark) monsters. The addition of this spell to a weapon of cecil, the Lightbringer, is also really nice. The only con of this spell is that some enemies absorb it such as Zemus' face and Zemus' heart or something of the sort. The ideal spell to me is definitely the Bahamut summon. The main reason being because 'twas the most used spell in my recent run through the GBA version. Also, towards the end of the game where Rydia is around level 60, it mostly always inflicts 7000+ of damage. Seriously, who doesn't love to see a massive dragon drop from the sky (Well...appear from the right in FFIV) and unleash a Mega Flare. Long live Bahamuts in FFs ![]() Last edited by Dragoon_Nick; 08-04-2006 at 11:48 PM.. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | I'd have 2 say Flare,Bamhunt then Meteor. Flare first because it takes no time and it can dish out 5000hp fast. U can cast 2 Flare spells in the time of 1 Bamhunt. U can cast like 5 flare spells in the time of casting Meteor. If ur goin fr a counter attack for magic and summon, then use Bamhunt 2 be on the safe side. If ur goin for a finish evry thing on the feild, then use Meteor. The way I look at it,Flare would be the best 1n but then closely followed by Bamhunt.

Inventory | i would deff. have to go with bahamut! he does a massive amount of damage, and to all enemies too! and the castin time is very quick which makes it a great summon o use in a boss battle... and the MP cost isnt bad once you get rydia leveled up quite a few times

Inventory | I thought meteo was pretty cool. Bahamut is in almost every FF. Meteo has made appearances, but nearly as much as Bahamut. I don't know I guess I just get sick of seeing him over and over again. (I'm sorry Bahamut, I love you, awwww gimme a hug big guy, come on, dude don't be gay just gimme hug.)

Inventory | I'd have to pick Bahamut. I liked using him a lot. Otherwise I would use Meteo with Rydia. I never really used Flare . Also I liked using Holy. I thought that it was a pretty strong spell, but Bahamut is still the best!

Inventory | Well for me i would use flare cause it ALWAYS does 9999 for me. Bahamut would be next. I use Bahamut in the begining because he did a lot of damage near the begging. I have only used Meto with Palom because he learns is before nuke.

Inventory | Bahamut plain and simple. Meteo does have some power behind it but it takes too long to cast. Bahamut is fairly quick and powerful.
