I found Rydia to be the most useful of the three. She was a pretty powerful caster, and she could summon. Rosa came in at a close second. However Porom would be a distant third as she isn't all that powerful, and she is almost useless without her brother, Palom.

Rydia hands down, has the best magic in game, even without a white mage rydia has that one summon that can heal everyone like 4000 HP and really has the most mp too.Plus green hair is hot, and her storyline is cool.BTW-shouldn't this topic be a poll?

Wow.
I would agree with...uhh...every other person in the thread. Rydia is the best, but only as an adult. Porom is no good since she's like, 7 years old and she's only part of the game for like...an hour. Rosa is definitely second. Check out the FFIV DS trailer, and adult Rydia looks smokin' with Mist dragon behind her. Rosa doesn't look half bad either.

First of all, this thread is pointless, in a good way! Its more like "Fans of Rydia post here"!
Because Rydia is the onle free girl in 4. Rosa has a husband, so she is represented like a loving wife. On the other side, Rydia is a young girl, who has just matured and is looking and acting like most girls withought a man do! Pretty cool that is! So all my respect and admiration go to Rydia!

Rydia is the best among of them, i love Rydia being on my party because she's strong when it comes to magical attacks and i love her more when i saw the DS remake, Square-Enix should have made the remake straight to PS3, so that Rydia lovers will greatly appreciate the stunning great graphics PS3 can give. but it is still a good remake though.

Rydia, no question. My only problem is weighing up the ethics of her character.
Pro She's an attractive, independent young mage who can use whips. Con She's actually still about eight years old. ... See? Otherwise, Rosa's pretty cool but the reliance on ranged weapon ammunition is always a pain; and Porom sucks. Sucks ASS. The best thing about the twins is, funnily, Twin magic.

Rydia is my favorite. Even though she can't heal, she has a bunch of summons and I guess Asura could heal. Also, she's one of the only people in the game who can cast Meteor and crush everything.
