A little visit to the land of summons to obtain Asura and Leviathan is extremely beneficial as asura is an essential curing partner for the Zeromus fight.

Get Bahamut with Kain in your party-- he's a must. When Bahamut uses Mega Flare, be sure to let Kain jump within 2 to 3 seconds of countdown, While the other characters kick his butt before they die. Mega flare deals about 5000 damage, if your character isn't leveled up... So level up with the Behemoths on the way to Bahamut. Oh, and also be sure to get Leviathan, Asura, Sylph and the others before going to Bahamuts cave. Good Luck!
