How tough was zeromus to beat? For anyone who has finished the game.

Why would you kill Edge? He may not be that powerful, but he can Throw some of your older weapons for high damage, then he can Haste and Berserk himself (use Hermes and Bacchus) and be on auto-pilot. Besides, why would you try fighting the final battle, the toughest battle in the game (save maybe Wyvern), with only four characters?

because with less characters, the ATB system wastes less time switching between active party members, also the cure spells will heal more per member if you have less people active. (and keep in mind, big bang and meteo cause the same amount of damage regardless of how many members are KO'ed or not)
edge is a likable character, but his main specialty is throwing weapons, and in the end, it doesnt justify having him around, unless you duplicated powerful weapons like i said earlier.

well i have duplicated the excalibur weapon to about 20 times(think thats enough lol) and thus Edge would be of good use to take away say 7000-9000 hp damage every turn? and u dunt have to wste MP and wait around for summons too much. My strategy is to level up to full 99, and then "FIGHT WITH ALL MY MIGHT".

or you could get to lvl 70 have a not-too-hard battle.

i was lvl 40 and i beat him then i was 60 wen i beat his eg form

beat him.....once i leveled up to 70 he was fairly ez to beat.

well he isn't hard at a desent level but if u are at a low level then he gets hard

The main difference between levels 30 to 50 is about 1000 hp or so from his big bang attack. Which is pretty much the only attack that he possessed which is deadly. Therefore it is obviously the party's lack of hp at lower levels that stops the player from vanquishing zeromus. I may not be certain, but other than apples, wasn't there another way of increasing HP?

im kinda like dragoon nick, by the time i got to him i was already level 80 something because i was fighting monster after monster to the adment armor and so i didnt really have to work hard to beat him, though fight jecht was hard for me cuz i didnt have the legendary wepons, but i had a nice stradegy

He wasn't that hard for me. All I did was have Cecil attack, Kain jump, Rydia summon, Rosa heal everyone and cast Holy when she could, and I had Edge throw tons of shurikens and other weapons in my inventory. I knocked him down in about 10 minutes.

Yep he was the hardest compulsary boss I ever fought. He wiped out my entire party several times with his big bang attack he would constantly use. My cure 3 stood no chance against it. I had to beef up to around level 60 to take him onn as I was playing the ps version. Edge is your best ally as throwing the excalibur and kitchn knife can chop off 9999 of his health. When you run out of those fine weapons just throw shurikens like crazy each chopping off around 5,000 hp. Have Rosa heal, Cecil attack and use items, Rydia summon Bahamut and Kain use jump. I eventuallt beat him using this method.

I think i may have been grossly overleveled because when i went into this battle i was expecting to lose but i beat him no prob. Especially with Kain jumping and Cecils Light Bringer
