How do you like your FF4?

Im going to play the ROM version (i dont want to go out looking for a cartridge) and there must be more than one type of Emulator you can download which is the best? I recently downloaded one but it turned out to be crap and acted all stupid...any suggestions?

EDIT: Yeah and i have a Logitech Dual Action Controller that i would like to use if possible...

Well, you can really only have one preference, right? That is, after all, why it's a preference.

I don't feel like editing the poll, but my vote technically no longer goes for ROM and instead goes for cartridge. Yep, that's right. I finally found one, and it makes me happy.

PS2 it's the best. PSOne is a good one too.

Overall I've been with Final Fantasy from the beginning on the N.E.S. I have played IV (II in the US) on the Super Nintendo and enjoyed it. Yet considering my Super NES decided to permanently go to sleep I had to get the version for the PSOne. I enjoy that one just as I did the one on my SUPER NES. I see no problems with it except the battles are a bit slower because SquareEnix still insisted upon the 'old style' fighting. The movie scenes are great. The storyline is kick ass just as it always was.

It would be nice to see the re-release of the cd-rom version with more updated graphics like the Playstation or Playastation 2

I have the snes version. but I play the rom so I can play the hardtype
version. I can't find chronicles anywhere and I don't really order online.

sorry but i hated it just when they remade the game, i have the cartredge and if anyone who doesnt have it than thats fine, then playing the rom is ok if its the snes version. but i hate it when someone wants to play a remade game just because the graphics are better, you dont get the same feeling as playing the old one

Well I would prefer to have the original SNES version but unfortunately I dont own a SNES anymore so I had to download it and run it on a PS2 based SNES emulator.

So far, FFIV has been amazing to play and is in my opinion the best retro Final Fantasy, if not that its the best on the SNES.

..because I made this poll over a year ago (maybe 2, heh), when the GBA wasnt well known let alone the GBA port was being developed.

I could add it now though, totally slipped my mind.

I like the PSONE version best, because it's more challenging than the original. I also think it's the best 2D FF. It kicks ass.

Well, I've played all versions listed in the polls, but I liked the GBA version because of all the extra stuff, and the Lunar Ruins.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot, and being able to switch party members.
