Ok, I'm in the World of Darkness and I have a question. I know there are some ribbons somewhere around here, and while walking around I noticed a black crystal. Then a boss named Echidna attacked me;I killed it and no ribbon. I looked up the place on Gamefaqs and it said there are other bosses(Cerberus, Ahriman, a Dragon). Must I battle these monsters to fight Cloud of Darkness or are they optional? And where are the ribbons? | ||||||||||||||

At the end of each arm of the "X" is a portal. You MUST enter each portal at each arm's end BEFORE you enter the central portal. Each of the arm's portals takes you to a Crystal of Darkness where you must fight and overcome a Warrior of the Darkness. In each of these areas (besides the portals for the Warrior of Darkness) there is a chest with a Ribbon in it. You must fight a Xande clone to win the Ribbon. There are 4 total Ribbons, 1 on each "plane". When you defeat all four Warriors of Darkness, only then can you enter the central portal to fight the Cloud. Good Luck, Kyuzo. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | The Ribbon is the best protection your character can obtain without the use of the Mognet (to get Onion equipment). Not only does a ribbon inexplicably offer as much protection as armor, but it negates all status effects (you'll want it to counter the COD's magical attacks). Good Luck, Kyuzo. | ||||||||||||
