Final Fantasy III(DS): End of Game Save Stars

Hi,

Couldn't find anything on this so thought i'd ask!

Does anyone know what the stars are for when you save a completed game?

I completed the game once before, and once after defeating the Iron Giant and each time 3 stars showed up at the bottom of my save in the slot selection screen.

Has anyone got more or less stars than this?

I got three (3) stars also. I can't cite anything exactly, but i saw something like this on gamefaqs boards and there was some alk about this, but it would seem that no one else got anything else other than three also. Thre may be something to it though, who knows. ???
