FF3.........on the DS?!?! - Page 2

As they did with "Dawn of Souls" they should be doing for FFIII.

A GBA cart would be more then enough to support such a game, it held both FFI & II (WSC remake, I think) together so why not this one eh? I mean, its only been about 10+ years since they decided to do this.

They should multi-platform, GBA and DS versions. Maybe you'll get some fancy um.. FMV's.. or something.. on the DS, whilst the GBA will be like any other FF/RPG Game made for it.

It doesn't really worry me if they do or not but it would be kind of neat if they did FF III&IV Pie and Custard or whatever. Although i already have IV i only wnt to play III the only one i have never played.

Okay, so it is in 3D...that's just weird for them to take that approach. Tho I wouldn't mind it. I'm curious if they're gonna do that for any other re-release titles. Wouldn't mind seeing FFIV in 3D myself, tho ehh, more FFX or FFXI-ish graphics than those cutesy graphics there. FFIV just wouldn't go quite all that well with 'cute' IMHO. ><

Compares the 2 versions, NES to DS. And I must say that i'm damn well impressed at their work - really put some effort into it this time as opposed to making the sprites look sexier (not that theres anything wrong with that though.). But the main factor in this saga me thinks is..

..is it worth buying a DS solely for this title?

It is amazing how well they did this. As for your question on buying the DS solely for this game... hm hm hm.... I just don't know! $150 for the DS, then the purchase price of this game could be a considerable amount of money... maybe later down the road \=(0

To me, the graphics aren't that good-looking. It looks more like Crystal Chronicals, and you should remember how bad THAT was... Not a reassuring thought.

If Final Fantasy IIIj sells well in North America, Square Enix might apply the same remake treatment on Final Fantasy I and II, and may be the SNES trilogy. That would set the foundation for further TV console remakes of the games in 3D.

Wow that will be really cool. Is there an official release date? Alot of diffrent sources say diffrent things. Mostly I've been hearing soon - like sometime in december! It will give kids who weren't even alive when FF III first came out the chance to experience it on a more modern console.
