Ties to FFII

How many similarities or ties can we find between FFII and the other games in the series? Here's a few I came up with to get started.

1) In FFII the main party gets attacked by Leviathan while traveling by ship - The same thing happens in FFIV.

2) In FFII, Minwu kills himself by casting the ultimate magic Ultima - In FFIV Tellah kills himself by casting the ultimate magic Meteor.

3) There is a character named Cid - In every other FF after II there is also a character named Cid

Well the Cid thing is like Histroy so ya. As for the other things, maybe square wanted to make some similarites.
