final fantasy 2 aniversary edition?

i was looking on gamefaqs and i saw something saying final fantasy2 aniversary edition. I looked at it but there wasnt any info and then i looked bak at the page b4 and i saw it was coming out for the psp. i was wondering if any1 had anything to say about it and i know its probably old news but im not really up to date on ff ports. i think it sucks its coming out for the psp wich is a pice of junk tht belongs in the garbage.

As far as I can tell it combines the features of the FF2 remakes on GBA and PS1 as well as changing the display of the game to 16X9 widescreen.

Well they are remaking FFI and FFII on the PSP which is to be released this year or next year I believe. Is that what Gamefaqs meant probably? But I really wouldn't consider FFII to being a piece of junk especially with it being on the PSP. I'd prefer the DS, but maybe its graphics and new features might make it being worth it on the PSP. I don't know, but this is what I think about it.

The graphics are pretty much the same as the GBA and PS1 versions, all they did was make it so it fit all of the PSP's screen(ie they are using the PSP's widescreen to show more on screen). I'm guessing they are going to PSP as opposed to DS since these games are already playble on DS with FF1+2 Dawn of Souls.

Don't worry about it. I wasn't even attacking you if that's what you were thinking.

On other news, if that's what they are gonna to FFII and just make it fit on the PSP as Lone Paladin stated, then it seems like Square's just making more money from PSP owner's instead. I know that you can play FFII on the DS, but why make it on the PSP if they're not making much changes to it?

Wow, this looks really cool, I mean, the graphics, cause I own both for psx.
But there's no way I'm buying a psp only for this.

honestly i think this is pretty ****ing cool. the PSP does have a wide, brilliant display. yes, ok - everyone knows the DS is the shit. but we have FFI+II on the DoS GBA cart. the PSP version will be superior (especially if they let you play it in the original difficulty settings). this actually kinda makes me wish i had one. well, correction; this makes me wish they're come out with a slimmer, lighter, more "portable" PSP.

P.S - Cheers for FFI+II getting their own forums! FFII is still my personal favorite final fantasy game.

While the PSP wasn't worth it's cost early on, it's potential is finally coming out. Desirable games will warrant a purchase of one in the near future: Remade FFT, Castlevania Dracula X + Symphony of the Night(FTW!)

Anyways, it's FFI+2 Dawn of Souls is being up-ported. That is, it is being enhanced and ported to another system. I support ports. Wider exposure to a game leads to more copies sold, leads to more money made, leads to more/better games being made, leads to a happier me.

i have them both i think that they are exalent and probaly so far the to best rpg graphics for a handheld console and the best rpgs out rate now for psp
