Why final fantasy IIj is hard

i can't figure out the weapon system in this game. i know it can't be that hard, but for me it is a big problem.

i think the reason the game is so hard is that we are used to having the game build our characters for us, through levels and not by our own use of the characters. Its the level system thats so hard.

there's two blood swords, one is in Paul's house in some secret room and there's another in a second one in in the Castle of Fynn
