FF II - Most Useful Temporary Character

Mindu was really good in my opinion, great skills, and very helpful

Like everybody else I found mindu the best, he had all the good magic and a good hp, too bad I didnt know the hp/mp trick at that time he would of really helped, on a side note did any body else notice that Leon's MP increased to 999 quick as yet at the same time you couldnt do the hp/mp trick with him ........ more than just a coicident(Speeling?) !!!

I chose Minwu. Minwu is "white" mage/wizard so he knows most of the healing spells. But where is Ricard??? I would choose him because he is Dragoon and DRAGOONS RULES!

Mindu. He had all the helpful spells at that stage of the game.

mindu was good for the time of the game that he's in your party - but i found Leila to be my favorite of the temp characters. she was in my party for quite a while (and for a good chunk of my mid-game grinding) - i taught her some black magic and she pwnd through that second 3rd of the game. she gets my vote.

Minwu, bcoz he has the most supportive/buff skills early in the game. Ricard also rocks, look at his speed and power.

i like mindu, he starts with a lot of good magic, and makes a great healer when your trying to strengthen your characters

Mindu,was i believe the best one to temporarily fill the position. I found that the other charcters were okay, but in the end just the magic that mindu had was verrrrrrrrrry helpful, in the heat of battle. For me theres no contest, it's Mindu.

I just want to say for the record that I think Mindu being everyone's favorite is rather ridiculous. I mean it totally is your opinion, but seriously. Just because he had alot of spells doesn't make him a Tellah, or a Fusoya from FF IV. He had a max of 16 spells and I don't even think they were all filled up. Now granted that gave you alot of opportunity to use things for your defense or well being, but people...you weren't even that far into the game. What out there was so deadly that you needed his vast array of White Magic spells to save you from?

Mindu was a crap attacker and we all know that. All he could do was cast spells, and I'm sorry but magic just doesn't do it all. If he would have been put in later in the game, with higher level spells he would've been a bigger help than that early in the game. If that would have happened, I would have voted for him as well.

Just something for everyone to think about here, and maybe you can give me your opinions as to why you think he was better than using someone like Joseph, Leila, or Gareth to which they were all good combatants and you could've trained them in Magic along the way as well in whatever magics you wanted.

I found mindu the most usefull for the same reasons pretty much every one else did, but my personal favorite character was Josef because (spoilers)

I chose Josef because even though he is hardly with your party he was the only one who could match my strength and HP after I trained so hard. The rest were weak compared to my party.

mindu was the best at the time you get him because you're party isn't that high level'd and his spells are just great

Mindu's class, because while you have him you don't really have to worry about getting hurt or your status, and his high level spell costs don't really matter because he's got plenty of MP.
