An undeniable justice

Arcades, Arcadia, Ivalice - Rubert Von Estinburg, the Arcadian Court - Basch fon Ronsenburg, age 26, was found guilty of murder today as the evidence in his trail outweighed any doubts of his innocence.

The trial started with certain animosity as the prosecutor went into the details of the fall of Lord Rasler Heios Nabradia, prince of Nabradia. It was revealed that he was brought down by a single Arcadian arrow, right in time to tear down the hopes of Dalmasca and bring the battle to a close.

In a single swoop of might, Rasler and his men where taken down effortlessly. A few minutes afterwards Rasler was seen being rushed off the battlefield by the Captain of the Order of Knights in Dalmasca, Basch fon Ronsenburg.

In an unrelated statement by the prosecutor it was stated that Ralser was the husband to Ashelia "Ashe" B'nargin Dalmasca, sole daughter of King Raminas. Their union had not even been consummated when he was called to the front lines to take on the great Arcadian Empire.

It is widely rumored that the union was arranged as an attempt to unify their two nations.
Arcadian spies that have infiltrated Dalmasca's higher ranking class testified that they witnessed Basch gather his remaining troops and head back to the Nalbina Fortress to stop the signing of the peace treaty that Arcadia had offered to King Raminas.

The onlookers where shocked when the noble Judge Gabranth told his testimony about how after apprehending Basch he rushed to King Raminas to find that he was to late and the King was dead. He provided a signed confession, from a Rabanastren soldier named Reks, stating that Basch had “gone crazy and slain his lord”.

Many eye-witnesses where called to the stand that saw him (Basch) entering the fortress and verified he was the last person to see the mighty King alive. Basch himself admitted to not even knowing what had happened because he blacked out and when he recovered his King was dead. The gathering of the Judges was short and his sentence was declared; death by secret execution.

His sentence is to be carried out tonight in private; his executioner is to be none other then Marquis Halim Ondore IV. Many people, both Arcadian and Dalmascian are outraged at the secrecy of the execution and wish it to be made viewable to the public.

This is truly triumphant day for the Arcadian empire, with both Nabradia and Dalmasca in a state of defeat, the Dalmascan King dead, and the once well thought of Dalmascan hero now branded a traitor of his own country awaiting his immanent death. Rabanastre is wide open for the Empire to take control with out risking any more soldiers’ lives.
