Like death, I'm using ADSL, 'cept I'm in the States. 1015 kilobits per second I'm getting rates similar to those of Fuzz on his cable. All of a sudden, I don't feel like my DSL is the slowest DSL on the planet any more. My low was 914 and my high was 1400something. I forgot.

1,299 | Download speed: 3995 kilobits per second Test details: 3354 kilobytes downloaded in 6.716 seconds. Receive buffer size: Not available Would've been even faster if I upgraded the bandwidth like my old connection. In my old house with Comcast second tier speeds and a properly configured router, I got just over 5500 kilobits per second. The TCP optimizer only works if your computer is directly connected to the modem and not a hub/router. Otherwise, you need to configure the same settings on your router to see any improvements. | Born Again Atheist | Pcpitstop is not good for connections over 3000 kb/s. It's just not fast enough.... It's unreliable over that. I've got a Comcast second tier cable internet plan. It works out to this: 8192 kilobits per second or 1 megabyte per second down 768 kilobits per second or 96 kilobytes per second up I'm not able to pull this from most web sites, except maybe Sun or Microsoft, but torrents frequently download at 1MB/s.
