We have a new Floating Barge map on the Avalanche area. I have a prototype in my File Share, along with the original. I have to get the final copy of FB2 from my friend, but the Prototype isn't bad in the least, till then.

I'm a bullet magnet, so I have a habit of getting shot full of holes more often then others, even though I get more kills myself. Finally got a Rampage in a ranked match. Always miss the Overkill Extermination in ranked, though.

Had the worst luck today...
MLG sucks when you have a team that doesn't want to work as a team.

I figured out one team's stratagy, and tried to deploy a counter strataigy, but my team wouldn't listen or anything, keep heading straight into the slaughter...

I played against that team twice on the same map and game type, MLG Team Hill on MLG Pit... Still got my ass handed to me cuz of the team.

Whipped ass in regular Team Slayer as a lone person. Got the most kills a few times, but again, team effort wasn't my teams' high points..


Maybe I should play at a different time from now on...

I just missed your comment about the attempt on an extermination, lol they are very cool to show off but a lot of luck is required to get one. I think the one I got on Fox's account was the funniest one of all to get, though. Back before they had the MLG playlist, they had a "team hardcore" list with similar stuff, except much of it was very abusable; one gametype was Oddball Pit, and many teams would ladder themselves up to the attic with ball for huge ball time and it was nearly impossible to get them down without the whole team raining grenades on one spot. Anyways, all of my team was dead except me, and I walk right through green hall when rockets spawn, so I pick them up and see the whole other team trying to ladder the guy up there. I wish I would of saved it now, it looks so stupid/funny now but I laughed my ass off as soon as I got there, because I knew what was going on.

And yeah MLG does suck when you don't have a team, but once you get up to level 20 or so everyone generally knows how to play as a team so you don't have to go in with one. Once you hit 40+ though, most of the time you'll be playing teams of 4 that know how to do work, so thats when you back in with a team, if that makes any sense. I guess the best advice is to play a certain role for the team, and stick to it, whether its sitting in the hill to get time or keeping all four of the other team down as much as possible. Thats the best way to win on your own.

I remember the Hardcore set, same stuff I've seen myself.
It's gotta be perfect or you won't get one.

I've succeeded once on a guest account during Big Team Social.
Aiming a Spartan Laser at a Warthog, and they all stopped on their flag for a quick return. Two full hogs, plus two more at the flag... I wish my friend knew more about films and such back then. Never seen any 8 man kills since. Lucky shots don't come often.


I'll guess I'll go into MLG playlists with a team for a while.


Was training my noob friend Saturday, and I came across someone named Str8 Snip3z, an actual member's second account. I checked it. He was teaming up with a noob as well, but wasn't doing as well as he wanted.

Went through two games with him, ending up with a loss at Team Snipers. Noobs keep getting shot too easily.

Yeah sorry about not being able to go to the tourney, I got invited to go to a concert for free since one of my friends couldn't go, and I just didn't wanna pass that up lol.

I was looking through some old Halo2 clips that I forgot were on my computer, made me kinda sad, as I still miss that game at times.


Since when did team snipers become ranked?! I just might have to download these new maps for that! I miss ranked team snipers!

Quite a few, actually. My very first halo3 team was just called the 712 for awhile, as we were too bored to come up with a cooler team, lol. The team consisted of me, those two other guys that you played with when we played mlg list, and another friend of mine. We were a local team and we all knew each other, as myself and Allstar lived in the same town and Noir and Taydor lived 5 minutes away from us. We were also well-known in the local halo2 scene in our cities, as we won two prior tournaments as a 4 man team, which from both tournaments each of us won a nice little TV, Elite 360, and a copy of Halo3 reserved before it came out. Not only that, but myself and Allstar also made an extra $250 at halo2 in a 2v2 tournament, and the runners up were Noir and Taydor, big surprise lol. Anyways, the four of us played up until 8:00AM the day when H3 came out, and I think we were like close to the top in the leaderboards that night with our level 27's in TS (all that time playing the beta let me carry my team ) . The last hour took us a long time to find a matched team of four.

Anyways, flash forward a few months. Noir and Taydor's 360s both get the red ring of death. Allstar has basketball season. So this leaves me out in the cold. I started playing a ton between college because living in a small town, theres nothing you can really do. I eventually got noticed by this one team named DbA (driven by adrenaline). They had me try out to replace their fourth, since he couldn't go to the MLG opener in the meadowlands. I make the cut. Team drama ensues, the whole team breaks up and goes different ways. By this time, Noir/Taydor get their 360s back, but both are obsessed with call of duty.

Now back in to the present. Currently Noir is working like 50 hours a week, and Taydor is enjoying his summer because its his last one before college. Allstar still plays sometimes, but he likes that RL stuff a lot too. As of right now, I am friends with a lot of different people from teams, so if they ever need someone to fill in or need someone for customs, then I jump right in. So really I am the only remaining one from the 712, but if there is ever another local tournament again, then the cities better be prepared for us to take first prize!

Team Snipers and Shotty Snipes are both matches you get in Ranked Team Slayer.
lol, You should know that.

I wish it was, maybe apart of the Hardcore sets, but we just have to wait for Bungie to do that.



It seems you've been playing a lot longer then me.
At least 3 or 4 times as long. I got my 360 back in November and a High Speed connection about 3 months ago.

I think I can keep up with you for the most part though. lol

Local tourny are rare around where I live. When there are any, most are usually packed to the walls with terrible noobs. Unfortunately, all the local tournys I was entered in were canceled due to weather and such.


I'm in the MLG as well, but not part of a team.
A freelancer as normal.

If you ever need another member or just a sparring partner for the time being, don't hesitate to ask when I'm online.



The Floating Barge map doesn't hold well with larger numbers of players. Especially with the spawn kill zone.
I'll edit it later just for large groups. A V2 of Map 1.

You should have stayed around for the Distortion map.
No up, no down, just running on the walls like in a certain painting.

No I saw your bungie link and I thought that Team Snipers had its own playlist, like halo 2, but I guess I failed to see that it was from the team slayer playlist, lol my fault. And yeah I agree, Team Snipers should get it's own playlist, perferably in the hardcore list.

Yeah, I have been playing Halo3 since the day it came out, more or less. I took a few hiatuses and breaks due to frustration and stuff, but you know how that goes. And I agree, you are doing quite well, but this game has less potential for individual skill than halo2 imo. There were more clutch plays, more instances of one person being able to wipe out the entire team when he is three down, etc. The real part where you can tell if you are good or not is if you have the teamwork necesasary to win. Sorry I had to go so soon though, I was hanging out with a ladyfriend and she called me while I was playing, so yeah lol.

Draken, you plan to get Soulcalibur 4 when it comes out! I am excited for it!!

Yeah, on the PS3 though.
You're probably going to get it for the 360, and I don't think they'll go cross-platform.

Oh, I've heard something else about Soulcalibur 3 also.
Darth Vader's Apprentace will also be a playable character.
I hope Force Push-them-so-hard-they-fly-through-the-walls isn't an attack, it'd be too much given ringouts are still around.



Hey, how come people in Ranked Team Objective are all asses?
I mean in last few matches, I had three Betrayers and three separate teams that don't know how to play as a team. Including insults and team attacks to drop shields. It doesn't make any sense. Every team I've had has been like that.
Does it just happen to me or is everyone on Team Objective like that?

Haven't played it much, but I've always been good with GTA games.

I don't have GTA IV nor do I plan to get it. I'm planning on getting Saints Row 2 though.
And that tournament thing you have in Gen Gaming isn't a good idea.

Advertising Clubs outside of the club forum is against the rules, and that's essentially what you're doing with the tournament. Also, having it stickied isn't a good idea either, as that is special treatment. If you make joining the club not necessary and take out the links, I'm sure it'll be fine.
