I tried to stay as non-biased as I could by only reading the previous judgment after my own, so hopefully its my opinion and not her influence on mine.

They joy of being a judge is its your opinion, especially in writing, one persons style just may not agree with another, while brilliant to a third.

The difference in styles shouldnt alter what you put though, only what you think. I mean, obviously you have oppinion but you can just use general rules of written language to judge these. =]

Hyz, I know you're being nice, but I rather not you tell a judge how to judge, or what to judge by. I think by now, he knows to use the rules of written language. He just adds his 2 cents in with it.

That's the kind of judging I like, and also the kind of judging that's the best. ^_^

Edit: Hyz, why are there lightning rods on my stage? I clearly don't remember describing any existing.. >_>; Yet they do, only to be destroyed... XD;;; So like.. wtf's the point of their existence?

Grrrrrrrrrrrr, why the hell do you have to be so damn difficult Toph? Seriously. You didnt create the damn boat I was on, I DID! It DIDNT get destroyed, it conducted lightening and so moving it away from my character.

As for telling him how to judge. I DIDNT! I was talking with him, I was just saying he didnt have to use his own oppinion. I didnt say "dont use your own opinnion" did I? THAT would be telling him. Why is everything you say to me in here so agressive? I'm sick of it, I cant do anything right by you.

Edit: And once again you make the club into your own personal preference station. There are others here to you know, we are all entitled to what WE believe is the best judging. jhxwgldifdijfye

Edit 2: Myself and Toph have talked and I have told him why I did certain things and it's all good now. =]]

Hyz, in talking about Text based RPB's... to use the general rules of written language is a rather loose term personally. If we were looking at General terms of writing, the RPB's would be more focused on the structoral english class type rules... which would focus more on grammar, style, spelling and so forth.

I see an RPB a little beyond that. My personal view is that it is not so much how a person uses proper english to create teir idea, but the idea itself, how it is presented, the ability to paint a mental image in writing. I don't look much at spelling or grammar styles because I myslef am not very good with such formal things. I more like to see how good you are at the actual Role Play, to pretend to live and be something you are not. The more you are able to make your character believable and alive.

For the most part, I judge based on experience. Not to say I am the best to be qualified, I just have been here at TFF for a long time and have followed the RP/RPB at TFF since the near beginning... so I more go what has been and so forth... Kind of the tradition that has been set.

Just to let you know, see how I think/work. I can at least say I have experience at TFF in the RP/RPB. I may not do it much any more (I am sort of retired and have been for about 3 or more years) but... I have been in plenty of my own RPB's and have judged a few TOA's and other things... so thats my "qualification" if you will. If you want general english rules... I probably am not the best person to talk to

I just... don't have the super impulsive drive like i used to... I need to get back into writing though, I just don't want to do it in won-ton open fights. It's gotta have a point. Same with RP

Ah, okay. I understand now. I thought you were basically saying that what you saw as good writing was more influencial than.. erm... actual talent, if you get me. I dont mean that you didnt recognise talent more that you just saw a certain wriing style as talent. I get that you dont do that now.

I liked your judging anyway, I like anything that says what it means. Thats why I liked Aerifs, he spoke about things in a way that told me exactly what ahe thought. So does yours so I'm happy if you are judging the rest of the fights.

As for your qualification, as you put it, I never disputed that. Your ref no on here speaks for the time you have spent and you have easily seen more fights than me. Like I said, I wasnt having a go, more like... Trying to grasp what you were saying and how you were judging. I liek to fully understand things.

Aerif's was alright, I guess, but it just seemed very vague to me. Aerif really didn't go as deep into his two cents as I would have hoped, instead he used points, which were very weird for me, as I have never seen judging, or judged RPBs before with points. They usually don't work very well together.

Huh what? I NEVER dropped out of the tournament. Don't misinterpret me. I said I was "done with this (as in, the fighting)." And to tell me when everyone was through with their happy arguement, but I never once mentioned the tournament. Taking 1 +1 and making 3...doesn't work. ^_^;

I'm still in, though I don't know how much time I'll have. We all know DH is going to win (=P), but I still want to fight her anyway.

This club really needs to get itself together, haha. Hopefully things will start to work after the inner RP is made. I suggest not planning for anything except that for a while after this tournament ends. We've seen what a disaster doing something before we can work together has turned out to be. So let's not do it again.

Well when you said it on MSN, it felt like the tournament. To me, fighting = tournament. So that's what I thought you meant. I'm sorry for any interpretations. But honestly it's not that big of a deal. I can just remake the thread.

Haha....fighting=dispute in club. =P But yes, please remake the thread. I need the practice. This is technically going to be my second RPB since Psiko never posted. I want to get better! ^_^;

And, as Hyz mentioned a while ago (I think), everyone needs to get their profiles to the inner Rp in. That means everyone. Not just the tourney participants. Toph, I believe we discussed linking to the profiles in the member list? I don't know where that ever went...

I still need to do mine too, so I'll try to get that done before the tourney ends.

((Couple things... Your character was not described, nor linked in the club thread. Not sure if you read the description, but Toph's ship is more spaceship-y, it's in the sky, not a wooden boat. Lastly, you really shouldn't be editing hours after you post, if at all, as it's a tournament.))

As for Tophs ship, I never said it was wooden and liek I said in here, me and Toph has talked and I know your have been sticking your nose in without reading my post properly so thanks for that. We (me and Toph) agree'd that the decking can be hardwood.

Annnnnnnddddddddddddddddd finally. Read the club posts eh? It only takes a short time then you will see that Syd said it didnt matter how long after we post that we edit providing the opponent hasnt already posted. ~cough~ You didnt post for days so technically I could have edited as much as I wanted.

Edit: Sorry, Syd said he didnt mind it. Not that it didnt matter.

Edit 2: Also, I did put my profile up earlier in the club. So couldnt you have just looked at that?

Edit 3: Lol and the last thing I edited in my fight I told Toph I was doing just before I did it. So there was deffo no rule breaking involved... In fact, it was to put in "hardwood" instead of "woodwork".
