It's good to know we have a new PM who enjoys eating ear wax. Just fantastic.

I was hoping Howard would get in again but obviously he didn't but congrats to Rudd anyway. Please don't stuff up the country!

I'm sorry but I don't trust this guy and plus I can't stand Julia Gillard or Peter Garrett lol.

Yeah, I hope he doesn't stuff it, too. Although anyone's better than Peter Costello. There's just something about him that doesn't let him come across as likable.
It makes me wonder, though. If so many people don't like Peter Costello, you'd have to be fairly confident of a Labor win before voting John Howard out of Bennelong. Personally, unless I was positive, I'd've voted Liberal in Bennelong so that assuming a Coalition win, Costello didn't get it from the word 'go'. But I'm not complaining that John Howard's getting the kick. (At least it looks like that's how it'll pan out - he hasn't conceded as yet, if memory serves?) It's probably better for him that he loses Bennelong. It would sort of suck to lose the election but keep your seat, have to watch the selection of a new leader and then retire.
Did anyone else find it sad that Mal Brough got kicked? He was future PM material...

I stayed up and watched both speeches from both parties, I had to admit that watching John Howard's was kind of sad. I felt sorry for him, he will even lose his seat at Bennelong as well as losing the position as Prime Minister.

Let's just wait and see how Rudd handles being PM. I'm kind of dreading it actually but we'll see what happens. Julia Gillard as Deputy PM scares me lol, I seriously can't stand that woman. My parents can't stand her either. Gah!

Ah, good ol' Rudd...
Shame about Howard losing his seat too though, as it must have been a real blow to the pride. Poor guy...
That said I'll be waiting for my better broadband...
*waits*

Oh and I officially already REALLY hate compulsory voting...

You hate voting? Why? It's not like it takes long or anything, not unless you have to wait in line to get marked off on the electorate roll. You don't have to vote though, not unless you want to pay a hundred dollar fine instead. The choice is all yours.

I'm waiting for this better broadband as well, let's see if it even happens. It would be nice if it did, it wold be fantastic actually. No more painfully slow internet.

How are you considered Australian?
I live here.

Like to do anything specifically Australian?
I like barbeques. Like the beach sometimes. Australia has beautiful beaches. I really love some of the wildlife, also.

Why do you want to join The Aussies of TFF Club?
Figured it made sence.

What are you interested in?
People and the things that ago on around them. I like chocolate, too.

How active are you?

On TFF or out here? Not particularly on either. Incredibly low post count and I really don't do much.

The line...
I've seen smaller lines when popular games were released...
As for that $100, I'd rather wait a couple hours at an over busy voting venue than give up precious cash I need for food and other things...

On another note...
FROGGIE!!!

I don't blame you about the lining up, fortunately I live in a small country town where there aren't a heap of people. We had to line up but it was only for about 2-3 minutes plus we went about 9 am when it wasn't so busy so we got out of there pretty quick.

Those voting forms are a waste of trees though, the one form was like a meter long! I was hoping to God I didn't have to fill the whole thing out. Fortunately only one box had to be filled in and that was it.

Welcome Vampiric Delirium

Yay, I am glad that Rudd won. As are my parents. They spent the whole day watching the polls and counting and then the speaches and everything afterwards. Then they went to a Labor after party for my Godfather who kept his seat for the ninth year in a row.

I guess they are kind of into it so it just rubs off on me.

Either way I wish Rudd all the best and hope that he knows what he is doing. But I have faith in him. As do most of the other people voted for him. Well either that or they just hated ol' Johnie.

Yeah, that's for sure as well. With the price of food and all, you don't want to be wasting any money on fines would you? The price of groceries is just ridiculous! Every time I go grocery shopping with my Mother, the order is already up to $100 by the time we get to the third of fourth row. This is buying the same stuff as usual mind you.

Bring the prices of food down! I suppose it might be difficult considering there's a drought but still, lots of people can't afford to buy a heap thanks to all these insane prices.

I know a lady who claims she saves a fortune a month on groceries because she shops at Aldi. That's good and all but I don't think I would be able to do my grocery shopping there, I am only into known brands! It's a neat little store though I suppose.

Aldis is miraculous...
Aldis is the reason for about $20 I can get enough bread, cheese and other ingredients to feed myself cheese toasties rather than starve for a week with bugger all money. Aldis is how I get 2L bottles of coke for $1...
Aldis is how my mate got an awesome internet ready computer on about a fortnight's wages...
And with top brand parts too...
Aldis is... a way of life...

I went there one day and thought it was alright but I'm just one of those people who prefer known brands instead of ones I have never heard of or tried before. I'm really fussy too which doesn't help! My dad told Mum we should shop there but she prefers buying all the famous brands as well. Maybe we'll go there one day and buy a whole order, we'll see what happens.

Woolworths and other places like that seem to be getting more expensive by the week, it's sad really.
