The rain came back! It's so great. It rained for most of the day yesterday, we went out to Redbank Plaza and we had to run back to the car as we were leaving so we wouldn't get drenched haha. I don't know if it will rain much today, it is only supposed to be showers I think.

Time is flying, don't you think? Christmas has gone and now Easter is coming up quick. It's very scary! I do enjoy Easter though, it is a nice time of the year.. I also love the chocolate lol. Plus it's earlier this year too, around the 23rd of March something?

What's that children? Speak upppp...

Yeah we had hail last night for the first time in ages. It put another ding in my window....
And though the day was sunny/cloudy it's raining here once again. Funny thing is the news said while we got the hail Sydney got flash flooding.

Cos global warming ISN'T screwing with the weather.

We havn't had hail in a long time. I remember when I was a child my nextdoor neighbour chucked a chunk of it at my face because she didn't like me. What a rude girl.

Yeah, I like Easter too but it's over too fast.

The last bit of hail we had was a couple weeks ago from a random shower but the pieces of hail were tiny and weren't worth worrying about. We had decent hail a few years ago, they were about the size of ping pong balls or something close to that. It was loud too since we have a tin roof haha. It was interesting though afterwards running around outside seeing all the hail lying about. Fun! It is better when you are a kid though, it's much more entertaining.

Yeah our home made carport has a tin roof.
Our hail was mostly small bits of ice, but if a few more hit my window it would have been gone... ><
But yeah, awfully noisy hail on tin.

Yeah, it can be a downright nuisance most of the time. My window is protected since we have an awning out the back, we are getting one out the front of our house too which should be good.

I am looking forward to the next lot of rain, that might be tomorrow but then again maybe not. I was waiting for it today but it was a no show, it's all up north again. I would rather have nothing than floods like up there. That would be horrible.

True that. I'm lucky as the bit of NSW I'm at is pretty much green all the time. Dairy farm area.
Ahh, the grass gets a little dead when the drought's hardcore, but my plants always thrive. ^^
And it isn't just that I have a few cacti neither. Some of mine are water lovers.

Lucky, we normally have lots of dead grass in this area. It's been wonderful lately but without rain for too long, everything goes brown. I hate that because it looks horrible, walking on dead grass isn't very fun, especially when you are barefoot. It is usually sharp and painful haha. It's nice to see everything green though, that's always the best. It's all fresh! Our plants have grown so much lately thanks to the rain, they usually don't shoot up very much at all.

Yeah it's what I love most about this area. It's suburbia and now has most things a good place needs, yet walk south a few hundred metres and you're around dairy farms. It's a beautiful place nature-wise. ><

And I'm on the very south of Dapto. Cheaper places, yet the best nature...
A raw deal it ain't.

You're lucky Celtic that it's green. Well, it's green here at the moment as well but without the continous rain I can't see that lasting for much longer. Which is a shame because everything looks so beautiful and fresh when it's green. I don't like going outside to see dead grass and lack of plants in the garden. It just doens't look nice.

True that. Few places that can boast a decent enough environment for growing a large variety of different plants. At least from what I've seen of most other states. It's worst closer the middle.

Anyone been to a good rainforest? Minnamurra rainforest isn't too far where I live, and I've also been to the Daintree up in QLD. Wonderful places, full of life and all manner of unusual things. Just have to beware of leeches and a few other things. The amount of time they spend clinging to a leg, you'd swear they were randy little buggers.

I've been to a Rainforest for a School Camp once. I can't remember which one it was but it was really nice. We went to a glow worm cave and they were really cool. Shining a light on them apparently kills them so we had to turn out torches off but a lot of the boys shined them on them.. The poor worms stopped glowing.

But yeah when I went there I was paranoid of leeches. Heh.

Wouldn't be O'Reilly's in the Lamington National Park, would it?

I know they have caves of glowing worms. I went to Binna Burra, which is the place neighbouring O'Reilly's for grade four camp. It was fun, except we had to walk lots and lots. And that was their idea of a good camp. Um. What.

I remember there was a girl in my class called Michaela, and she called paddymelons watermelons. It was funny when I was nine. Haha. It was on that camp that I learned the rhyme "If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down." There was a water shortage there at the time. xD
