The consumers change everything and that's what starts all kinds of rumours and opinions, etc. It's pretty sad, but I think everybody does it to some degree. In the end, I'm probably one of the biggest critics I know. I judge and stick by my judgement, and that's no doubt a bad thing in a more than one cases. Please tell me one of you here has heard Blut Aus Nord? Excellent stuff right there.

| Gingersnap | I feel the same way about most metal myself, Govinda. I've wanted to like more of it, but I just can't get into it. Also, I clicked and I liked. Thank you. ![]() I have heard some Dream Theatre, Chez, and I liked what I heard. I always meant to expose myself to more of them but I never did. Hmm. I'm also a Pain of Salvation fan. Like them a lot. I'm not against that kind of thing as long as they sing to me instead of purely yelling. Oh, and Amy Lee is from my home town and no one there ever forgets it. Um. I rarely hear them mentioned here, but Coheed and Cambria? Anyone? I love 'em. I do. Lately, I've been listening to A Fine Frenzy and a Scrubs soundtrack. The Coral make me happy. RP! Glad I didn't kill it. I started on a post yesterday night and reeaally want to finish it tonight or tomorrow. I'm real good at getting distracted, but I will try.Oh! And and and! Thank you Chez and Vampiric both for the avy/banner comments. That made me happy.

| An RKO Production... | Dream Theatre is okay. I can't call them cheezy without being called a hippocrite. Because I used to listen to Dio. Yes DIO. As in Ronnie James. But I like a few of their songs, Metropolis was okay. Can't say that I own one of their albums, classic though they are. Evanesence is almost a little too mainstream for most Gothic tastes and some of their songs are borderline cheezy, but I wouldn't be so cruel as to ban them from a Goth's library. I doubt a real emo would claim them, either, though. What about you Chez, ever heard Lacrimosa? True Goth Metal. A hybrid of our 'tastes.' You can find a link somewhere in my list, I think. It's in German, mind.

| | Cough. I'd like to apply. >.> Why do you think you are unique? I am unique because I am at the centre of all. Using Star Wars terminology, I am a grey Jedi. I find the middle grounds to be the zenith of wisdom in a large majority of life's dilemas. Learning from different extremes to find a middle ground that is reasonable is essential as extremists on every end of every spectrum are foolish and lead to needless conflict and ignorance. Also, I'm a solipsist (thank you for that word, Sinister). I don't believe you exist. Why I'm joining a club made by someone that probably doesn't exist is simple: I'm bored and I can only assume I created this imaginary world out of boredom. No, I don't believe that I absolutely created this world and you are all fake. That would be a silly assumption given no proof. But the only thing I do know is my own existence (my concious), so it is all I can truly believe. I hope that's enough. I hate saying too much because it'll sound like an angsty teen. What talents separate you from others? Be advised that I'm only looking for unique talents. Well, I have the uncanny ability to know far more than I can actually handle. What I mean by this is that usually I will know what to do, I simply can't do it. A mundane example is metalworking. I know excatly how to arc weld properly, but for the life of me, I can't do it. I could probably teach someone sooner than I could do it properly myself. Of course, this reaches far more complex and metaphysical conflicts, but I think you get my drift. I am a watcher. Has anyone ever referred to you as different/strange/weird/freak/insane? Well, Sinister, you kind of did earlier today. >.> I get the weird one a lot, but I don't think much of it considering those that usually say so are your typical highschool/university moron. I suppose it does happen a fair ammount though. How do you deal with the rest of the world, being so absurdly different as you are? I usually tend to stay away from it. I suppose I unintentionally adopted a sort of Taoist reclusiveness policy and have been attempting a more Buddhist approach of not being at all attached to any part of the world. Of course, as I said before, I don't believe in extremes, so I do not intend to go live alone in the mountains or give up all of my desires. I just try to find the middle grounds that will yield happiness. It is a long journey that has yet to end, but it's a reason to live, so I press on. What title would you select to describe yourself, which we may refer to you openly?(NOTE: Please be unique) Buddao - yeah, I'm that creative. ![]() Word, yo.

I told you my msic knowledge was fairly impressive. The music is great. The vox aren't really to my taste, although they're a valueable mention when it comes down to the Gothic and metal theme. I think it leans more toward the side of Gothic, but there are songs which appear to be more metal than Gothic. In all, a very good, balanced band. They wouldn't make it into my top fifty, but they're very impressive for what they sound like.

| An RKO Production... | Welcome to the Theatre, Buddao the Hybrid. Love the title. And even happier to add yet another member of distinction and intelligence to our ranks. I'll edit the first post and you're now a member. Post lots ^^; @Chez It does guiltily lean closer to Goth, I fear. But they have their metal moments. As for vocals, don't worry, Goth band leadsingers seem to pride themselves in their lack of range. And it is an acquired taste, I suppose.

| I dreamt I was a moron | Actually I got into Enya about three years ago, when my math teacher would play it all the time while we worked. I just ended up really liking it, some of the most mellow stuff I listen to, besides Native American Flute music. | ||||||||

| | I'm in! It appears we are discussing bands we like, so I will list mine now. I don't have quite as many as some, but they serve me well. AFI Apocalyptica Black Sabbath Blind Guardian Demons and Wizards Gamma Ray HammerFall (I'm half a fan) Helloween HIM Iced Earth Iron Maiden Judas Priest Kamelot L'ame Immortelle Metallica Opeth Pink Floyd Rhapsody Trans-Siberian Orchestra There's some other bands that I do listen to, but I don't feel liking one or two songs every once in a while really counts. So there you go.

| I dreamt I was a moron | I know that this isn't centered on the current discussion, but I need a spot of help, from some weird points of view. I had to write this poem in my high school English class about where we see ourselves in five years. I've been told by Ellie, a writer and fellow member, that it was good, but there was something wrong with it, but neither she nor I have been able to figure out what, so, I'm going to post it, and i'd like to see if anyone else can figure it out before I go crazy.
