And revolution was just it's codename, like the GC codename was Project Dolphin.
I don't know why they need codenames, but nintendo have used it to it's advantage by creating a shock out of it.

For the record, I do believe I heard somewhere the reasoning behind the name Wii. Don't hold me to this, but I believe it was along the following lines:

Wii is pronounced "we", and that Nintendo plans to have it be heavy on multiplayer gaming.

I would like to point out that everytime I see psiko's avatar it makes me happy! I really liked old school Nintendo! The only problem with it is I swear the games were harder on the 8-bit then on the newer consoles. Maybe not as long but way harder!

For example I used to play Back to the Future the video game on the 8-bit and it was like impossible to beat. Also topgun was extra hard, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Kings Knight. I played those games for ever and never beat them because I'm pretty sure that they were impossible!

There it is. I don't really think that they should have changed the name. I think "Wii" should've been the code name. But this makes sense I guess.

hey does any one here think the nintendo Ds is better than Psp?i think i that the Ds is a lot better than the Psp!
There are so many kick ass games for the DS that are a lot better than Psp, such like Metroid, Prince of Persia and how the hell can i forget this legendary game Fire Emblem! what games do you guys think are better on the Ds than on the Psp? and oh yeah theyu are also releasing a new Zelda game and final fantasy for the Ds plus i am not totally sure if this true or just another rumour getting spread but they are supposed to be making a new Mega man for the DS as well ! i hope it is true cause Mega man kicks ass!

That means in almost 20 years Nintendo has been king of the handhelds! Sure they did not have the greatest market share with both the N64 and the Gamecube but they have been kicking portable booty for a long time

As of June 30, 2006, approximately 21.27 million Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite units have been sold worldwide. Although reports vary, in terms of units sold worldwide the Nintendo DS platform is ahead of its main competitor, the PSP, which has shipped 20.02 million units as of July 24, 2006. 5.9 million units have been sold in the U.S. alone, and 9.24 million in Japan

People just like their Nintendo Handhelds! Sure the PSP is nice but what games are on it that you can’t play on another console? The only one I can think of is the Katamari game and they have two of those for the PS2 also their biggest success on the PSP (Grandtheft Auto Liberty Stories) Is also now available on the PS2. I see no reason to buy a PSP. However the DS has many games that are only available on the DS, with more coming out all the time.

That would be sweet to get a DS megaman! I am also looking forward to the new Zelda game, Final Fantasy III and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. They should be awsome!

i dont know man i thought when both the N64 and the Game cube came out on the market the were really popular consoles.It took me ages to get an N64 when it was realeased, they were really popular in Malaysia the same with the nes alot of people i know that still live there prefer to play those consoles instead of the new ones coming out now man.

This i wil agree is highly true all the actual playstation games for the ps2 are just getting redone for the Psp they are not coming up with any more new games for it which i think is a bad ideal.The Psp is a fun hand held console don't get me wrong my gf has one(dam that woman!) but i believe it would just be more enjoyable if you got new games for it instead of having to play the same game over and over again.

To true man i am totally hoping that they will be making a new megaman but i am not getting my hopes up on it just in case it doesn't happen lmfao

Nintendo have experience behind them when making hand helds, so they know what to do, and more, what we, the consumer want.
Like a folding screen so we don't have to buy chunky cases, so our consoles don't get scrapped, and back lighting, although I think they didn't put backlighting in the GBA to boost the sales of the SP.

Hey Dark One. Now I think that there WILL be a Megaman on the DS. I think it is called Megaman XD or something like that? I can't wait for the new Final Fantasy III and the new Zelda game Though I'am not too sure about Rocket Slime just yet.

oh man by the looks of it likes pretty gay like the Mega man anime lol man i was toally lookinf forward to a mega man for the Ds but maybe i will be surprised and it will be a kick ass game (lol i hope lol)

So true mega man is great almost as good as Zelda. Mega Man kick ass you know. I have Like all the games but nothing beats Zelda in this world nothing. Someone tell me I'm wrong. The story is great. The movies are great. The whole game is good. The N64 ones the best.

It looks awesome. Hopefully it will be as hard and great as its older games. Also, does anyone know about Mario Galaxy? It looks okay, but I think I want to know more about it.
