you can indeed save to the VMU

Although i suppose leaving the system on all the time would have no adverse effects.... the rom is loaded into the ram, so the laser wouldn't be an issue...

Personally, I like NesterJ for NES emulation. For SNES, give me ZSNES any day.

As for Dreamcast emulation, I won't lie... I've never really dabbled in it. I did love the Dreamcast itself as a system though. It was ahead of its time, and suffered a very unfortunate fate. That saddened me. Even though I never actually owned ANY Sega stuff, I loved the company and always played their stuff at friends' houses.

(See, I did Nintendo. Chris did Sega. Matt did Sony. We had a system.)

The original Crazy Taxi was so stupidly awesome.

It's one of the funnier ones recently, in my opinion. I certainly laughed... aloud, at that, which is something I haven't done at any webcomic for a while now.

No point in misrepresenting our activity, eh? This, of course, excludes KC and Vivi, as they each founded the original two halves of the OSKoC. They're immune. ^_^

News from the front tho, I think I got the majority of my shit re-uploaded to my site .. im lurking through page after page to see if any ebil X's come up. Not many so far but I got about 100 pages to sort through, bleh. I also went and downloaded quite a few GBA roms lately and I'm having fun with The Sims 2 - albeit from the odd storylines lol, they based this around one character and its revolving around a TV show. Your character even goes into commercial breaks and does mini-games to score simoleons.

One thing I'm gonna try get my hands on too tho, is about 4-5 PS2 games with all those retro titles. Midway Arcade Classics (3 volumes), Capcom Classics, SEGA Classics.. already got Atari Anthology so thats all good - so much damn old school gaming goodness from yesteryear and my childhood which warped me into the bastard I am today.

No, I'm not dead. A bit under the weather maybe (missed a week of school), but alive none the less, heh. Although, my posts are going to be my usual: Wish I could game, haven't had enough time, etc. Isn't life grand?

It's really a shame that they didn't bring out the intellivision collection for PS2 Dawezy, I think that you would have enjoyed it. It's 10 times better than atari ever was, haha.

I'm back. I was thinking to post at leas once every three days but I ran into a little snafu. You see I was busy installing and operating system and all my software on my new computer.

Gone are the days of the 500 Mhz dinosaur I have been using, now it's an AMD 2 Ghz with 1 gig front side bus and 1 gig of ram. Difference in speed is like night and day. Now that I have a system that doesn't suck and is finally up and running. Expect to see a lot more of the Wizened Old Sage of Old Skool! By the way, counseling sessions with the geezer will be starting soon so if you have any questions, comments, or war stories you'ld like to share, Dr. Ark is in!!!!

Props to my man Scorp on the joys of fatherhood, the kid looks great. I just hope you put music in his soul and make him breathe rock and roll!!!

Hmm...saving to VMU works for those DC emus, eh? Interesting much. o.O; Do ya just save'em to a disc or do ya have to get a seperate bootdisc or something? I know sometimes if you have copied games for DC you have to find a bootdisc to get'em to work. ><;

For the most part, all you need is the disc you burnt the emulator on. you can burn the roms directly to the same disc as the emulator, and it *should* boot automatically, although there are a few burnt discs that require bootdiscs

If you are interested in DreamSNES, here's a great tutorial. It's the one i used to make my DreamSNES discs.

alternatly, you can go to dcforums.co.uk and browse around there. There's a torrent section there for pretty much any DC game or emulator you could want, as well as a request section.
