Halloween Signature Contest

Seeing that the last contest was a success, I decided to continue another one. I hope a lot will participate as we'll need as many people as possible. So here's the deal. We're going to do this differently from the last contest. There will be NO judges. It is all up to YOU GUYS to decide who will be the winner. Yes, that means everyone of TFF. We're going with a poll system for this one. However, there's more to explain. On to the rules and requirements..



The banner MUST be Halloween themed. The dimensions should be as follows:
• The minimum dimensions are 250x60.
• The maximum dimensions are 500x250.

You MUST PM only ME your banner. Don't show anyone it. Do NOT write your name on the banner, otherwise people will know it's yours. So, try your best to keep it a secret. It'll take the fun out of the competition if favoritism is involved. Try to stay away from using a common role model you always use in your sigs(like Amy Lee for instance).. people will KNOW it's yours, otherwise.

AGAIN, I repeat. DO NOT SHOW PEOPLE YOUR BANNER! IT IS TOP SECRET. Only you and I should know it's yours. No name give aways on the banner. However, you can use some other slogan if you really want to include some sort of text.. like "Happy Halloween". After you have made your signature, PM me it. We're having maintenance on the 19th, but that's fine. This contest isn't going anywhere. Currently, there is no deadline, but please work on your signatures as soon as possible. I don't want to keep people waiting too long.
Oh and to make one thing clear; I will not be participating in the contest as a competitor, as I am going to know everyone's banners. After the winner is decided, I will reveal the participants.


Once everyone has their banners turned in, I will make the Poll thread.
Rules on the Polls: Everyone participating can cast a vote in. But you can't vote for your own. All the banners will be posted and presented.


One last thing. We need reviewers for the signatures. After everything is put up, the reviewers will professionally critique the pieces. Anyone else is allowed to critique as well, if they're willing. PM me if you want to be a reviewer. You can be a competitor and a reviewer at the same time.

We now have 11 competitors. All I have to do now is wait for them to finish their signatures.

A good way to make sure the voting is legitimate is to allow the poll to be public, so that you can see who voted for each banner. Of course, this would take the privacy out of the voting, but it would eliminate any suspicion of cheating.

I was going to do that ^^;. It's a good idea. I hope people don't pull a "mind of the mob" thing and vote for the one that's getting the most polls, but votes for the one they like. I'll have to make that clear in the Poll thread when it's up.

If only there was a way to remove the "View Poll Results" link so people couldn't see the current standings before placing their own vote... that would solve that issue right there.

I wonder. I'll have to do some looking around for ya.

Gwaaa I will post it in here instead of sending a PM, I wish to compete in this compition, my sig pic is almost complete and I should have it to you (via PM) in the next day or so.

Hope there have been quite a few members that are involved!

Is there a way to post total number of competators with out divulging who they are in the first post of this thread, sort of like:

total competators: 12

Alrighty then! I'll be leaving entries open for a bit longer. I'm cutting it off at 15. We don't NEED 15, but that's the limit.. just letting you guys know.

EDIT: 11 is enough for the polls. So, now we all just wait for the sigs to finish. I'll put the number of sigs that have been completed. Once all sigs are put in, I'll put the poll thread up. HOPEFULLY before Halloween.

I think that if entries are not in before midnight of the 30th of what ever time zone you choose the designer should be disqualified and the comptition should commence on Halloween, I was hoping it would be over with before then so I could use mine on Halloween.

Just my opinion/thought though, I am not trying to run your show or steal your thunder.

But also I was curious as to if there have been any reviewers elected yet?

There has been some chosen to be reviewers. I have a couple I also am cutting the deadline at the 30th. There's only 3 more left to make sigs, and they said they'd have them in by then. Don't worry, all is going to plan ^^.
