Ok i havent seen one of these threads yet, so i will start one.

This is for anyone that loves paintball, wants to play, or just kind of curious to discuss the topic! Feel free to share stories and links to vids if you choose to do so.

I am a huge paintball enthusiest, started playing about 3 years ago, and have been hooked since. First started playing at a private feild set up for speed ball (kind of like urban combat, close quaters, low bunkers, and lots of paint!) i have played for a couple teams around town on the tournament level.

Linked is a vid from last year (right before i for my arsenal) of me roping 18 balls per second with one finger with my 01 angel! that is 0 bounce one pull one shot!

Paintball's pretty beast, I've never gone, but once I offered to go in only my skivvies and a mask if someone paid for me.

I've always meant to play paintball, even tried making failed plans to do so a few times. Though I think the paintball setups near me are only urban setups and not actually bush terrain which I think I would enjoy much more-so.

So Meier, when is your next tournament? And what are the basic rules?

tournament seasons over here in town will resume in the spring, for now its practice practice practice.

Basic rules of paintball (can deviate depending at what feild you play at)

Game Overs of a player:

1: out of paint
2: out of Air/CO2
3: any Paint ball that hits and breaks leaving any paint larger then a quarter (gun shots count)

Game over for a team (most cases)

1: all members of a team are eliminated
2: when a teams flag is captured and returned to the apposing teams base.
3: most senarios are based on time, if time runs out its game over.

Bunker Rule (general and does not apply to tourny ball)

1: you can not shoot at someone if you are closer then 15 ft from them unless they shoot at you.
2: If within 15 ft you have to make it to that persons bunker, slap it/ kick it/ gun but it and yell bunker, the person in that bunker is automatically out.
3: no BONUS balling someone. This means stop shooting someone if you know they are out and they have delcared it, if they havent then you can keep shooting til the call theirselves out!

General Feild Rules

1: masks are to remain on at all times when on the feild or around the feild
2: when hit and paint is evidant call yourself out, or the refs will do it for you.
3: no wiping of paint is permitted
4: when you are out or game is called put your barrel plug in and rejoin the group in the dead zones
5: no crossing boundary lines and firing (feild are usually defined by ropes or tree lines with flags attached to them.
6: paint ball guns are to be regulated to feild speed only, each feild is different and markers should be set accordingly
7: if playing sup air no steel cleats are allowed.
8: generally feild supplied paint is to be used, can be purchased at the feilds or their proshops, unless otherwise permited.

These are the basic rules (for all types of paintball), they can change and are usually defined by the refs before you play your first game.
