Its some pretty serious shit, and this is why I would advise anyone and everywhere to download Firefox asap if not, download the nessecary precautions to protect your system. Its a keylogger of the sort apparently and some people have reported being hax0red. Rather disturbing prospect for anyone.

Figured I should pass this on before anyone gets caught, one easy tip (or a precaution, you might say) is to simply write-down your POL ID / PASS in a seperate text file somewhere. or just on a piece of paper, and put it in manually~ instead of "Auto-Saving" your details on comp.

Did you read the link about the GM call? That was fricken sad. The stupid GM could have easily put in a direct contact himself to the "higher-ups" about the issue instead of telling the person to send a stupid email that will never get read, as admitted by the GM. Hello? The last time I checked, sites like Alla, Somepage, etc are "trusted" websites listed on SE's website. Wouldn't it be a good idea for them to freaking look into it? Nah... only cheat websites have bad stuff.

In other news, I never go to Somepage. I only use ffxiclopedia. The rest of them suck, IMHO.

Unfortunately this shit is really true, two friends of mine got their shit hacked, 1 was fast enough and "only" lost all money items before they changed his account info. somebody else was ripped, password changed, cc info changed etc. SE can't do anything for some messed up reason. his 5 years of work down the drain.

Apparently the iframe/exploit/whatever has been removed or patched up from Somepage, but, I still wouldnt recommend going there unless you got Firefox all patched up or just know what your doing. Atleast not for a long while yet, may be a temp patch for all we know and they hid it somewhere else..

SE has done a good job (well sorta) in combating alot of these RMT sites/clubs so now they resort to hacking on a user-by-user basis.. really makes you wonder if these people have any sort of sense of reason or humanity amongst them.

Oh how bitterly sweet it would be to jump onto one of their accounts and remove their items/equip/gil.. {/grin}
