What are some of the best tunes you've heard on videogames and why?

I'll say a few of mine.

Final Fantasy 6, Terra's Theme
This is one of the nicest video game tunes I've ever heard and just gets styck in my head whenever I'm reminded of it. Ah Damn!

Sonic 3, Ice Cap Zone
Have you seen the amount of remixes of this in ocremix.com, it's because the melody to this song was just so catchy and I one of the only some I can remember downloading off the internet as a kid, just hearing it on the game wasn't enough

I think the name says it all and some of it lyrics might too

Lmao, so I'm try to jump across some difficult platforms and I keep dying because I can't stop laughing at the background music. It's a bunch of people's real vocals both male and female humming along to a classic mario theme.

Lessee...I really like the scores from MMX and MMX3, especially the intro stages. Megaman 3 also had great intro music.

I also think that the soundtracks from MGS are just b-e-a-utiful stuff, I always enjoy hearing them.

I thought FF7 had some good music too, I loved the world map theme.

I liked FFXs intro music, what better way to start a great game then some awesome rock?

The first two Suikoden games had amazing sound tracks, and FFVII stuck with me over the years. I also loved the FFT and Chrono Trigger soundtracks.

Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut - I loved Sonic's Theme, Tails' Theme, and some of the boss musics. Most preferably Chaos 6 and E-101(Final Battle). I liked the main theme too.

Megaman Battle Network Series - MMBN 2 had the final net area music. MMBN 5 had the Nebula final battle, and MMBN6 was full of them. I can't really talk much about MMBN6, the music was great.

Megaman Zero Series - MMZ1 had the first stage, and MMZ2, also, got the first stage. MMZ3 would have the Omega Battles. MMZ4 would have the final boss music.

Final Fantasy 6 - Lets not forget FF6. The Final Battle obviously wins, and the boss music too. Celes's Theme too, I guess.

Can't really think of other games with great videogame other then FFVII, VIII, and IX. I found them to be epic and some of the music in FFVII is somewhat dark in my opinion. >< FFVIII had a lot of beautiful music to it just like FFIX but FFIX was more heart-warming for some reason.

Godsmack! XD. I really like the PoP soundtracks alot. Bits of metal and heavy rock.. It's very good, and just suits the game to no end.

"To Zanarkand" and "Seymour's Theme" are my favourites. Both beautiful pieces indeed.

"I Stand Alone" and "Straight Out of Line" were features in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

Instead of embracing Middle Eastern instruments, the game's soundtrack has gone the modern route. Godsmack songs "I Stand Alone" and "Straight Out of Line" enter the action with heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums.

Once the Dahaka appears, the song erupts into "I Stand Alone"and the controller vibrates as the monster’s footsteps are right behind you

i played the megaman games before 2! kinda weird, cuz im a girl, but whutever . that's so cool that u liek megaman. i liked the old sonic games and mario.. zelda has the best game music ever. i like the garuda's thme.
