Do you have good penmanship?
It's actually quite good, unless I'm writing for long periods of time, in which case, it takes a turn directly south.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?

I was first taught to write in cursive when I was young, and I did until I hit middle school. When I got to middle school, we moved countries, and my teacher didn't like cursive, so she forced me to write straight - hand. Now, I'll start off cursive, and if I'm doing a long exam, switch to straight hand, as the repetitive motion really hurts my palm. I write using my fingers, more than my entire hand, so yea.

Do you like pens or pencils?

pens. Gotta love a good pen.

Do you do calligraphy?

I wish i could

Are you left or right-handed?

Right. I can't do much with my left.

Do you have good penmanship?

Sometimes. If I am rushing things I will write really messy. But my friends and family think my writing is pretty neat so I guess it is then. But there is always room for improvement right?

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?

It depends. Usually I write in cursive just because it's a lot faster as I join everything. Loop de loop . But if I want something easily readable or i'm lazy I just go straight-hand.

Do you like pens or pencils?

Well I think I write neater with pencils. But I do prefer to write with pens. Coz like everybodies doing it. No really it just seems easier to write with a pen and at school you have to write in pen anyway so that's my choice

Do you do calligraphy?

No I don't. I don't think, acutally i'm not too sure.

Are you left or right-handed?

I write with my right hand. I use the mouse for the computer with my left. I do all sorts of things with either hand. I'm weird like that.

Do you have good penmanship?
Neat enough for myself, though it's still sloppy as hell.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
Straight-hand for normal stuff, I'm quicker at it, though my signature looks neater.

Do you like pens or pencils?
Pens. Pencils break too much when I write. I'll use pencils for drawing, thank you very much.

Do you do calligraphy?
Gave it a try. I am horrible at it.

Are you left or right-handed?
Right handed. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't-the one blind eye I have would make it far more difficult if I wasn't. Oddly, all the boys in my mom's family are left handed.

Do you have good penmanship?
Not really, my writing is usually pretty crappy, only because I don't always like doing it. I have to do work for my Tafe course which consists of a lot of writing and I always hate doing it. I usually write messy and don't care how it looks. Sometimes I will write neatly and nice but that's rare.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
Haha, definitely straight-hand. I can't do handwriting anymore, it's stupid in my opinion so I just write normally. We learnt how to do it in like grade 2 but I never bothered to use it after that. They encouraged us to write in straight-hand in high school anyway.

Do you like pens or pencils?
PENS! I remember in primary school having to write in pencils and I didn't like it at all. The pencil would keep getting blunt and it just wasn't good to write with. Once I got to high school, you could only write in pens and it was great! I really like writing in pens, they look nicer and plus are more comfortable to write with in my opinion.

Do you do calligraphy?
Heck no, I'm not that talented. I know people who can write very nicely like that but I don't think I would ever be able to do that.

Are you left or right handed?
I am left handed. People I knew used to be so shocked about that, 'Zomg, how do you write like that?' Are you kidding me? The same way you write with your right hand. Idiots.

PS: My Mum and friend write with their left hand as well, I don't know many people who do. We're special lol. J/k

Do you have good penmanship?
Nope my handwriting is shocking, most people can't read it apparently, my teacher when I was at school though rarely complained, I don't know if this was because my freind were over exaggering or teachers are just good at reading messy handwriting. I am also unable to write without running my letters together, ay least if I try to I takes me 4 times longer to write anything. I also sometimes write in all capitals as I find that comfortable and I use it whenever I intend for someone to read what I write, so that they can read it.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
I write with my letters leaning to the right if that's what you mean.

Do you like pens or pencils?
For long writing I use pens because they are more comfortable to write with and for recording numbers or shorter things I prefure pencils so I can fix mistakes more neatly.

Do you do calligraphy?
Nope

Are you left or right-handed?
Right handed

Do you have good penmanship?
Oh God no. It was passable in high school, but I never need to write anymore, so when I do, its offensive. My pinkie always hurts when I try to write, so I sort of just scribble.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
Straight hand, I guess. I don't even know how to write cursive anymore.

Do you like pens or pencils?
Pens. Pencils feel funny to me.

Do you do calligraphy?
No.

Are you left or right-handed?
Righty.

Do you have good penmanship?
Yes I do. I even write neater then my sister or my girlfriend which even scares me. I like taking my time writing my best especially when it comes to essays.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
Straight-hand. My cursive looks too boring and just plain.

Do you like pens or pencils?
I like using pens to write with but I prefer writing with pencils. I write more neater and
its easier to fix if you mess up then using a pen.

Do you do calligraphy?
I tried that one time and it was pretty fun. I written out my name which came out pretty cool. It'd be cool to do more though.

Are you left or right-handed?
I'm a lefty! I was always made fun of that though when I was a little kid. And I felt weird for a while and somewhat of a freak. But I love being different. Minority, not majority!

Do you have good penmanship?
Yes since people can read my writing when doing things as editing. But there are times when people can't read other's writing well so that's one occassion O_o

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
I prefer straight-hand because first, I hate cursive since I was hard for me idk why and that I can't get used to writing cursive. Well, different things vary on people I suppose ^^.

Do you like pens or pencils?
I dont really care what I like so both since pencil you can erease if you make a mistake while pen... I don't really know, I just prefer both. (pencil for math and pen everything else as the school rule goes O.o)

Do you do calligraphy?
Well no because actually, I don't even think I should be even answereing this question since I'm still in middle school and didn't learn calligraphy yet or maybe we did just that I forgot >.>

Are you left or right-handed
I'm a left-handed person even though when my whole family is right-handed. Including my relatives. They rarely say that to me about my way of writing. But I prefer left-handing... they say it develops the artistic skills ^.^ To think that some people in my grade didn't even know I was leftr-handed when they were with me almost every school day of life.

Do you have good penmanship?
It really depends. I write pretty neatly when I first start writing something on a paper, but then it gets really messy and looks semi-cursive by the time I'm through. If I don't try at all, it comes out very cursive looking. ^^

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
I prefer straight-hand. It just comes out easier and I can't seem to remember the proper way of writing in cursive. My writing only looks partially cursive when I get messy because it all jumbles together and looks curvy.

Do you like pens or pencils?
I'm neutral on that. I've been a pencil user all my life, but just recently, my classes have required me to used ink, and it's getting to become a habit now. I don't mind using either one, but pen is a little nice since it lasts longer and doesn't smear in my notebooks.

Do you do calligraphy?
Eh? I wish. I can't and will never be able to.

Are you left or right-handed?
I'm strictly right-handed. I've tried in vain to practice writing with my left, but teachers have forbidden me from it for the sake of easy grading....>< My left-handed penmanship is a whole other level of ugly. o.O

I haven't written in cursive since fourth grade...sheesh. Don't think I could.

Mmm...left and right handedness. Fascinating subject. I've always found it intriguing, mainly because I don't know many left handed people and people always seem to find it extremely odd I don't use my right hand for complex tasks.

Some interesting facts:

In 1998, a study suggested that approximately 7 to 10 percent of the adult population was left-handed. Studies indicate that left-handedness is more common in males than females. Left-handedness, in comparison to the general population, also appears to occur more frequently in identical twins, and several groups of neurologically disordered individuals (such as people suffering from epilepsy, Down's Syndrome, autism, mental retardation and dyslexia). Statistically, the identical twin of a left-handed person has a 76 percent chance of being left-handed, identifying the cause(s) as partly genetic and partly environmental.

There are many theories on how being left-handed affects the way a person thinks. One theory divides left- and right-handed thinkers into two camps: visual simultaneous vs. linear sequential.

According to this theory, right-handed people are thought to process information using a "linear sequential" method in which one thread must complete its processing before the next thread can be started.

Left-handed persons are thought to process information using a "visual simultaneous" method in which several threads can be processed simultaneously. Another way to view this is such: Suppose there were one thousand pieces of popcorn and one of them was colored pink. The right-handed person — using the linear sequential processing style — would look at the popcorn one at a time until they encountered the pink one. The left-handed person would spread out the pieces of popcorn and visually look at all of them to find the one that was pink. A side effect of these differing styles of processing is that right handed persons need to complete one task before they can start the next. Left-handed people, by contrast, are capable and comfortable switching between tasks. This seems to suggest that left-handed people have an excellent ability to multi-task, and anecdotal evidence suggests that there are more creative stems due to this ability to multi-task.

Right-handed people process information using "analysis", which is the method of solving a problem by breaking it down to its pieces and analyzing the pieces one at a time. By contrast, left-handed people process information using "synthesis", which is the method of solving a problem by looking at the whole and trying to use pattern-matching to solve the problem. [39]

The hypothesis that left-handed people are predisposed to visual-based thought has been validated by a variety of evidence. In the 2004 book Brains that work a little bit differently[40], researchers Allen D. Bragdon and David Gamon, Ph.D., briefly described some of the current research on handedness and its significance. "Handedness researchers Coren and Clare Porac have shown that left-handed university students are more likely to major in visually-based, as opposed to language-based subjects. Another sample of 103 art students found an astounding 47 percent were left- or mixed-handed." [page 76]

Ultimately, being left-handed is not an all-or-nothing situation. The processing styles operate on a continuum where some people are more visual-simultaneous and others are more linear-sequential.

I suppose I am a "true" lefty...I really can't do complicated things with my right hand. Mainly it's there to feed the doritos to my mouth. And it knows it's way around a computer mouse, because everything is made for you damn right handed people. It's so annoying when you constantly encounter such things...grips made for right hands...scissors, knives and whatnot...I try using my right hand, but it remains clumsy.

Do you have good penmanship?
Yes, I guess. It varies a lot though, even while I write.

Do you prefer cursive or straight-hand?
Um, a mix if I'm rushing, but more "straight".

Do you like pens or pencils?
Pen. Easier to see. Preferably black.

Do you do calligraphy?

No.

Are you left or right-handed?
Right-handed.

Adding samples of my handwriting from notes from my history and theatre classes. I press really hard when I write, so you can feel my writing on the back of the page.
