Are you a fan of Ebay? Do you have any complaints against Ebay? What are some of the odd things you've bought off Ebay in your years? A quick rundown of stuff I've bought: An english reprint of Lindenia Two Orchids A Stiletto Dagger A copy of "Memoirs of my Nervous Illness" by Daniel Schreber in it's original German and with a translation. A plethora of wardrobe and vanity items Copy of Gray's Anatomy A bunch of Lovecraft books Various Video Game titles including Shadow Hearts Fencing Equipment including grips E Nomine Albums I'm sure there are others...

1,054   | I check it out every once in a while, but usually only when I already have something in mind. I don't just go "browse" ... except when I first got started on it, buying a PS2 and some games. I'd just look through the games until I saw something I liked. What I've bought? Hell, I can't even remember. I've probably bought one of every Final Fantasy game I have from eBay. I just bought FFXI with the three expansion packs. And I bought my PS2 ... and a knife. Other than that, I don't think there's been anything ... Like I said, usually I only go on there to find something I know I probably would have a hard time finding elsewhere.

2,899 | I've never bought anything from eBay, believe it or not. I've browsed a couple times but not a purchase to my name. I don't even have an account with them. I'm just not all that fond of buying things secondhand. I have to force myself to buy a used item, even if it's an out-of-print book or a game that's no longer being produced. As such, I've never had much use for an auction site, regardless of how popular or reputable they may be. So far, Amazon has done a fine job of filling any shopping desires I may have, so I don't venture too far when I feel the urge to buy. ~DragonHeart~

117 | Last time i bought something off of ebay was back in 1997. I bought a 21" CRT monitor. I will never ebay again because there is no point anymore. Point of ebay was to find good deals and rare items. Now, all i find is stuff you find at flee markets and fry's eletronics at the same prices. | ||||||||

The place I live in has no good equipment and the closest place to get it is Russia and to bring it from there is pretty hard if you want only a CD player and not a truck load. I usualy buy rare stuf like notebooks, rare parts of all kinds of hardware. I get it from german E-BAY and a person in germany gets the product and mails it to me.

Here are some things I brought: Final Fantasy XI Original Version May 2006 Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia June 2006 Final Fantasy VII PC Version: October 2005 Gameboy Codebreaker August 2007 Rurouri Kenshin CD And a couple Yaoi comics That's the basic breakdown, not alot, but all of them work. Ebay has great discounts on used items, its like going to the mall online lol.

5,305 | I use ebay, but not too much. I've become more of a fan of Amazon lately, although ebay will have things that I use for cosplay that Amazon can't provide. I've been bidding on Persona 3 lately (half assed, to be honest) since I don't have quick access to a gaming store. Other than that, I've just bought wigs off of it. My Soifon wig, my Tifa wig (which hasn't been used yet), my Utena wig (<3) and my Ashe wig (still have to style it). I'm tempted to buy another wig. :B

I don't have my own account due to not having a credit card and not having an acceptable email address, but I hope to get my own account shortly after I get a credit card after my 18th. I'd prob want a debit card or whatever they're called. The ones that go directly to your bank account. As for how I use it now, I use it through one of my cousins and through several friends. If I see something I want, generally an RPG I couldn't buy locally for whatever reason, ebay is just a phonecall or couple of streets away. And I can get the auction number here and send it to whoever will be buying for me. As for what I've bought.... Pretty much everything. It's cheap, it's safe if you're careful and if things turn up too damaged to use or something you can just sell it somewhere else. THat said it's never happened to me. ebay....

5,305 | celtic_silver: I signed up when I was 16 (I think) and I bsed my age. I just used a Paypal account linked to my savings account. Also regarding a comment someone left me-- the wigs I buy are usually unstyled (or styled well enough for the character, as with Utena) so I try to style them myself, but you can specifically buy a "character wig" since some sellers specifically market it as such. Of course, they tend to be more expensive as well.

I like to actually touch things I buy, you know, be able to test for quality or whatnot. And I prefer paying cash, I hate electronic transactions. Way too easy to overspend...

Logged in once in Japan and they thought somebody else logged into me and froze my account, now I can't reactivate unless I can prove my name is connected to my credit card, which I can't, cause all services of the house etc. are on my dad's name...****ing annoyed. 7,690 | I can't say I totally trust eBay. It's a good place for animal supplies, etc, but I personally don't trust it that much. I don't think I've ever actually bought anything from there, although my sister has. We've probably sold things on there that I don't actually know about... We did have masses of sets of toys which might be worth something today, but they've disappeared.

3,090 | We can get Ebay here but there is a specific site called TradeMe for New Zealand which I normally get stuff off. New Zealand is in the stone age for most things so its easier to order things online than waiting for some company to mass import them here. I've ordered a few CDs which are impossible to find in most record stores. I've also ordered 2 band shirts but why I mostly use it is to get those hard to find PS1 games to complete my collection; so far I've found a perfect copy of Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill 1 and Final Fantasy VII and I'm currently looking for Vargrant Story and Ergheiz on there.
